Bwaaahahahahaaaaaa! Aaaaaaa-aaaaaaa-aaaaaaaa-hahahahahaaaaa!
You are such a silly little boy.

“New product issues”. That’s what you call the utter failure of the cybertruck ending in a mandatory recall of all of them, and the abysmal build quality of Teslas. By “addressed” you mean ignored and denied like in the past?

Another fan boy gonna try to excuse the horrific build quality, the poor design, the failure of multiple advertised features, the inability to get a pickup truck wet or it voids the warranty (including car washes which are required daily to avoid rust), the lower than advertised range, the unsafe features that can cut all your fingers off if you aren’t extremely careful, the faked tests and demonstrations, the loss of market share to better non cyber trucks for half the cost or less, and the hyper political man baby who runs the company and takes the profits?

Sorry Charlie, the cyber truck is recalled for multiple safety and quality reasons. Orders are being cancelled, and couldn’t be filled anyway, production is crawling and slowing down. You just used Tesla laying off over 10% of its workforce to imply the economy was failing (stupidity, your name is bob, should have read your cut and paste), now you try to pretend it’s doing great and only getting better. That’s how I know you still have that Tesla stock, otherwise you would be complaining with the rest of his customers/investors. 😂
Being first to market was all Tesla had going for it, now thanks to mismanagement it squandered that advantage and has a bad reputation, unlike its better designed competitors.

Tesla is offering deep discounts because sales have slumped.

Joe Biden's lies are legendary.

noims says...

Also, interesting use of the word 'legendary'.

Where Biden's lies might be 'Legendary', Trump's lies must be the opposite: real, actual, proven, true, existent, existing, factual, genuine, known, substantial, ordinary, physical, practical, tangible, material, concrete, legit, palpable, irrefutable, certifiable, dinkum, perceptible, indubitable, corporal, certified, sensible, substantive, evident, unimagined, legitimate

Trump’s bond is totally junk.
The bond company submitted more (improper) paperwork, including the signature page from the E G Carroll bond from a completely different company. They do not have the liquidity to post a bond 1/10 the size they have posted. Be ready for Donny to go to prison.

He also violated the gag order repeatedly and a motion for criminal contempt has been filed, and will likely be granted.

And again, Sleepy Don couldn’t stay awake at his own criminal trial to protect himself, do you really think he can stay awake to protect America, who in his mind is second seat to him at best?

Meanwhile, the MAGA Kansas AG is outraged that Biden is funding the program and paying for them to remove lead pipes because blanket poisoning citizens and giving children brain damage is a state rights issue to Trumpists.

Meanwhile Huckabee Sanders has been referred for prosecution for stealing $20k for a Paris vacation and lying about where the money went and creating fake government records to hide the theft.
Her response to being referred for prosecution on multiple felonies:a video stating “come and take it” using stolen copy-written music already under a cease and decist order. The criminality is no longer hidden or disputed, it’s celebrated.

How’s your Trump Media stock doing? Might hit 20 today! Did you go “all in”!? 😂

Still waiting.

Bonus- OAN has admitted they lied about the 2020 election and Smartmatic and settled the lawsuit over the big lie. Another big “L” for team Traitor.

Why we are nowhere near ready for space colonies

newtboy says...

I think if you want to make Earth similar to Mars all you have to do is remove the magnetosphere. It wouldn’t take long (geologically) for solar winds to rip away the atmosphere and radiation to sterilize the surface. Perhaps a necessary first step to colonization is a foolproof synthetic magnetosphere. How else do you shield an entire planet/moon?

If I recall, the biggest failure of biosphere2 was, with all that money, planning, and brain power they forgot to factor in the oxygen the bacteria in the soil would use and factor in the formation of calcium carbonate on the exposed concrete and had to (secretly) add pure oxygen to the system at least once.

Also contributing to the failure, Steve Bannon was put in charge (despite major objections by the team) and immediately the project fell apart among allegations of abuse and safety concerns he admitted in court… “ He also testified that when the woman submitted a five-page complaint outlining safety problems at the site, he promised to shove the complaint "down her throat".”…the crew sued over this and won $600000 in compensation!

Biden Closes Gun Show/Internet Background Check Loophole

newtboy says...

More idiotic blather based on your complete lack of knowledge.
The FBI estimates that only 10% of guns used for crimes are legally obtained, so stopping the illegal unregulated gun trade should stop arming 90% of viloent criminals. Stopping the flow of 90% of guns used for crime is nothing? Derp.

Sure, keeping criminals in prison longer might help some after the fact, but 1) they have to commit at least one violent gun crime first and 2) our prisons are already so bursting full of them… so much that many states cannot put non violent criminals in prison without first releasing violent criminals, so longer sentences are impossible.
BTW- speaking of harsher sentences, a Vietnamese businesswoman was just sentenced to death for a fraud scheme extremely similar to Trumps real estate/bank/tax fraud scheme. https://www.npr.org/2024/04/12/1244509024/a-woman-has-received-a-death-sentence-in-the-largest-fraud-trial-in-vietnams-his#:~:text=The%20largest%20fra
ud%20case%20in,to%20be%20a%20turning%20point.
Is that what you suggest, harsher sentencing all around, or only for crimes you wrongly believe are committed mostly by minorities?

This won’t stop every illegal gun sale, but it closes 3 major methods of easily “legally” selling unregistered guns to people who are barred from owning guns. That is a good thing to anyone who isn’t a criminal looking to buy a gun for crimes….and braying morons.

If it does nothing, why has the right been fighting tooth and nail to keep the loopholes open for so long? A: because so many are felons (just like their leadership) and they still want to buy more guns.

bobknight33 said:

This will do nothing.

Keep those who commit these crimes in jail.

Another feels good do nothing law that Democrat party will use to circle jerk each other.

Are you better off today VS 4 years ago

newtboy says...

Because the economy was DEAD
Are you so dumb you don’t remember, @bobknight33?
Oil was actually free because no one used gas and there was a glut, so was money (0% interest) but the economy still tanked, kids quit school to never return, shelves were empty, businesses closed at record rates, unemployment reached record highs, riots in the streets, lawlessness and violent crime rampant and getting worse faster than ever, supply chains were broken nationwide, domestic terrorism constant, stock market crashed. 4 years ago literally everything was the worst it had ever been and was getting worse.
Maga clearly doesn’t remember that, your brains are mush.

The panic is hilarious.
3 failed attempts to delay his trial in 3 days!
Eric crying on the steps of court that daddy’s properties are worth WAY more, 10 to 100 times more than he claimed (for tax purposes)…so dumb they don’t know that’s tax fraud, another felony case.

Wieselberg back in the clink. The boss won’t be far behind.

I wonder if you realize this case is about Trump undeniably doing what he complains was “election interference” …killing unflattering stories during his campaign. The difference being the story about Don is 100% true, verified a dozen ways over, and a felonious crime of moral turpitude, business fraud to hide his illicit hush money payments to a porn star to hide an affair he had while his wife was pregnant. It reminds us that this was not the only story “caught and killed” to hide them from the public, like his secret child and multiple other affairs.
The stories about Hunter, a private citizen, are all Russian propaganda spread by known criminal enemies of the state, were known to be false by the FBI during the campaign and the right before the sham impeachment inquiry, and were not “caught and killed” using business frauds to hide hush payments, they were disputed publicly, in court, and in congress, and proven to be false.

One more instance of every accusation is an admission.
Trump now says Biden is on drugs…I propose a hair follicle test be done on both immediately without warning, and 2 more at random before the election. Guaranteed Trump will try to cheat the test, and will fail the test when properly administered. He’s a well known pill addict and his whitehouse gave out more pills to his staff and visitors than every previous whitehouse combined…the staff needed it to work with him (and ignore the stench of shit filled diapers), he’s intolerable sober.

Bonus - it’s sounding like the bond has failed and properties will start being seized next week! The unregistered bond company only has 8% of the cash required by law to issue a bond of that size (which means the offer to put up the entire bond was a fantasy, but still a crime to hide from the court!). Forfeiture may begin Monday!

Oh fuck!
Reports say Don Hankey said Trump and his lawyers lied to the judge about not being able to get a full bond, because a billionaire donor and the guy who put up the bond, Don Hankey himself, offered to put up the entire amount using real estate as collateral, but Trumps team hid that from the judge.

Instead they claimed it was a “practical impossibility” to get a full bond, which was a bold faced lie, and the bond was reduced by 2/3, which Hankey provided (but his bond may be deficient as a bond in New York, not meeting the minimum requirements for such a bond and not being licensed to issue bonds in the state).

https://www.propublica.org/article/trump-bond-disclosure-appeals-court-hankey

If proven, his lawyers are going to be disbarred and his bond revoked. 😂

Bonus - Nice…the AZ Supreme Court just re-enacted an 1864 law banning all abortion in the state and criminalizing aiding an abortion with a mandatory 2-5 year sentence. Abortion rights were already on that ballot, nearly guaranteeing democratic wins state wide…this new rights grab goes even farther towards that end.
Republicans have lost every ballot that had abortion rights included.

Food Delivery Apps: Last Week Tonight with John Oliver (HBO)

newtboy says...

I worked for a company called “waiters on wheels” in the Bay Area…essentially door dash before cell phones and the internet. We used handheld radios.
We got minimum wage + tips, and our salaries didn’t pay for gas and car upkeep so we survived or perished based on tipping. It’s hard, thankless work only to be at the whim of your customers mood for your livelihood.
Worse, you pay taxes as if you are tipped 15% on all orders, but the average tip was closer to 8% when you count non-tippers.
Back then, stoners were the worst. Usually paying at least partially in change, rarely a tip at all, maybe an offer of a bong hit for a tip at best.

If you hire a service to deliver, remember there’s an actual person between you and them, and you only hurt the person by not tipping, not the company. If the order is screwed up, it’s unlikely to be their fault, they can only take what the restaurant gives them. Keep that in mind, service people deserve to be paid for their work, and the tip is part of their pay.

Kamikazi Drone Hits Kamikazi Drone Factory 1200 km In Russia

newtboy says...

I understand the confusion, but as I understand it this “drone” was a single engine plane (172?) modified for use as a drone. I don’t know what kind of drone hit the refinery at the same time, but since it was in the same town 1200 km from Ukraine it’s likely they used the same civilian aircraft “drone” for that simultaneous attack.
The news about the battlefield drone advancement in the same clip did confuse the details about this extremely long range drone attack deep in Russia.

Reefie said:

While I am supportive of Ukraine's efforts to curb Russia's weapons production, I'm a tad confused by this video.

Initially we see a single-prop 2 person aircraft with landing gear down crash into a building and an explosion ensues.

Later in the video we see a still of a winged drone as the video informs us that Ukraine have been improving their drone fleet, obviously a fraction of the size of the aircraft we see in the crash.

Any possibility that someone has taken footage of a plane crash and spun a yarn from it? Or is there another explanation why the aircraft featured at the start of this video is nothing like the drones Ukraine have been using against Russian ships and other targets?

I bet you already bought your Trump Bible.
I bet you see nothing wrong with a completely unreligious person who has publicly and gleefully violated nearly every commandment and abhors the golden rule selling bibles for personal profit.
I bet you see nothing wrong with the edits and additions in his (not the Holy) Bible.
I bet you see nothing wrong with him selling it as the only real Bible because it’s the only Bible he endorses.
Proof that the right doesn’t actually believe Christianity, they just use it as a club….otherwise he wouldn’t sell 10, but I bet he sells out….but it’s not a cult…nooooo.

Francis Scott Keys Bridge In Baltimore Collapses

newtboy says...

Of course…

Republicans are already politicizing this tragedy in multiple ways…
1) insinuating because it’s a foreign owned ship it might be intentional/terrorism
2) insinuating that because it’s a foreign owned ship it has something to do with “open borders”
3) tying the expected economic impact to automatically creating more inflation, quickly blamed on Biden and
4) blaming the collapse on poor infrastructure which they blame on Democrats despite Republicans having voted against the first meaningful infrastructure bill in decades, a Democrat written and sponsored bill they all take credit for now.

Meanwhile the White House has sent federal assistance, sent the Secretary of transportation, and already pledged the army core of engineers to clear debris and rebuild as fast as possible using federal money to be recouped from the shipping company later (not wait years to rebuild while we litigate their responsibility).

Quite a stark contrast in leadership styles on display.

Another viewpoint of the accident…
