Global warming or unicorns? Which do you believe in?
At least the Anchor chick was honest: You believe in Unicorns, don't you? Gotta be a fairytale believer to work at fox news.
Global warming or unicorns? Which do you believe in?
Not sure how this relates to the topic at hand, but:
Unicorns were single horned dinosaurs. Not photo-shopped horses.
Ice Cream Cyanide - Unicorns from Hell
Pratchett knew:
" 'I thought unicorns were more...fluffy.'
'See clear! Don't let the glamour get you! See what's in front of your eyes! It's a damn great horse with a horn on the end!' "

Atheist TV host boots Christian for calling raped kid "evil"
On that show, they regularly cover the difference between agnosticism and atheism, as callers often bring up the subject.
The hosts are agnostic atheists. Meaning that they are aware that they do not have absolutely conclusive evidence of a god's absence, but they live their lives assuming there is no god. This is the exact same position that everyone (I HOPE!) reading this post has adopted with regards to unicorns and leprechauns.
A gnostic atheist would be an atheist that is certain this is no god. There are similarly gnostic and agnostic theists. The word agnostic, despite very specific roots, has become commonly misused, to the point where most dictionaries now contain two contradictory definitions for it.
I would argue that (and we might be getting into the areas where things are not well defined) atheism is a belief, as opposed to agnosticism which isn't. There isn't, of course, any true definition of these things though.
Anyways, you do have a very good point I hadn't considered in that the caller obviously watches the show, and presumably so do a lot of other people like him. In that sense, it serves a purpose.
10 Things You Didn't Need To Know About North Korea
Here's the story of the train theft, but it doesn't mention the Chinese walking home.

North Korea=China's problem
They created it-I feel deeply sorry for all North Koreans and their collective developmental disabilities.
I know very little about North Korea, but this stinks to me of dodgy propaganda. I'd love to see sources.
Good music though.

Thackery Unicorn Log Splitter
>> ^Stormsinger:
First one -did- look safer, until they showed how difficult it is to get a log started. All that pressure on the log is just a disaster waiting to happen.
I thought the same. All you'd need is a decent lever though, and you could just cinch it right on to the mechanism.
Cool though. My family had a logsplitter when I was a kid, and even then I always thought it was a ridiculously inefficient design.
Understanding the National Debt and Budget Deficit
If you don't believe money exists, then you should have no problem giving me all of your money. I will give you 1000 angels and an invisible unicorn in return. Deal of a lifetime. PM me for my paypal address.
(In all seriousness, you should read up on economics. It sounds like Ron Paul has warped your understanding of economics.) >> ^vaire2ube:
im not watching because as i understand it, the debt only exists if you believe money really exists, and i dont think money as we are told exists really exists... they can put you in debtors prison but cant get blood from a stone... and as i understand it, the fiat currency we accept is totally unbacked by anything other than faith... and thats only good for making "bubbles"
yea i still pay my bills my cabin in the woods isnt built yet, whats your plan!
Mormons Don't Believe in the Trinity
Baptists don't believe in communion. Are they less Christian? No.
Give me a fucking break with this bullshit video.
All religion is complete fictional bullshit anyway, so arguing which one is better is like arguing about which Star Trek, Star Wars or Harry Potter book is the best or that Unicorns poop rainbows.

did ryan just admit a democrat did what he wants to do...
That's a standard part of modern Republican political strategy -- all former Democratic politicians are awesome (and conservative), it's just Obama/Pelosi/Reid who've taken some sort of radical shift to the left that's outside the norm of American Politics.
Which would seem like a reasonable assessment of reality, if you lived on Bullshit Mountain.
My favorite Fantasy Man sketch
I've been meaning to give this a go, but my allegiance to the Mighty Boosh and Julian Barratt has prevented me from taking the plunge.
This is the Mighty Boosh version of when Lennon and McCartney separated, except instead of Lennon writing sanctimonious, self-indulgent wank-pieces, it's Noel wearing gold spandex and a cup on his chin, riding side-saddle on a shiny unicorn in fantasy land.

TYT - Chris Wallace Nails Paul Ryan to the Wall
How much do US citizens owe in taxes every year? How much would 20% of that be? That's the saving's to the American people. Are you going to save that much by "closing loopholes"?
It's actually a dumb platform if you think about it. Is the 20% tax reduction before or after you close the loop-holes? I would presume after, meaning it's a 20% reduction in the obligation, not in what people actually pay. So first we have to know how much US citizens SHOULD be paying in taxes to know what the 20% is 20% of. In other words, first we have to know WHAT ALL the loopholes are, before we can calculate how much we can save. Do they really know? I doubt it.
The whole thing is fiscal unicorns and pixie-dust. Of course he doesn't want to talk about "specifics".
