Sounds like The Troll to me. Although I have to admit that I don't actually know which of them came first, Small Faces or The Troll.

I guess I am trolling, but not to be mean and nasty, just trying to get some notice for the video and start some discussion.
I could use another sifted video, and nothing I say will hurt Led Zepplin, and , The Small Faces could use a little recognition for some damn good, trend setting music and style.

No no no! I wasn't calling you a troll...I was referring to a band, The Troll. I'll grant you that very few people know of them....very obscure, and -very- psychedelic.
I grew up spending many, many hours listening to their 1968 album, Animated Music. As I said, I'm not too familiar with Small Faces, so I'm not sure who came first, but the sound of this clip was distinctly similar to the sounds of some songs on Animated Music. I'll see if I can find a clip to post.


HaHaHa...I guess I was being sensitive. Cool, I'll have to look into The Trolls, . I think you'll find that The Small Faces predated the Trolls, As the Small Faces formed in 1965, were a "Super Group" By 1967 and disbanded by 1969, Then reformed with Ronnie Wood and Rod Stewart as The Faces.

after museful consideration i have to say that i agree with homer simpsons assertion that rock attained perfection in 1974 and anything that i can think of is either 1)directly and obviously influenced by something from this era or 2) influenced by something influenced from this era
in 1974 you have: lou reed and the velvet underground, the ny dolls, the kinks, stevie wonder, jackson 5, the rolling stones, frank zappa, patti smith, aretha franklin, david bowie, eric clapton, rod stewart, led zepplin, johnny cash, paul simon, neil young, bob dylan, and the waning days of the beatles... sure really really good things came before, but 74 seems like the perfect blending point of old and new. where the forces that were powerhouses and founding fathers of rock n roll met and mingled with the new wave and poof...

Music Trivia of the Day: The song was written by Ronnie Lane and Ron Wood of the band The Faces. Rod Stewart was lead singer of that band and sang in the original. Saying he "covered" the tune during his solo career is true, but not quite the whole story.

eeewwww.... Rod Stewart.... did I ever tells ya how back when I worked at the grocery store there was this woman who'd come in frequently... I think she was on speed or meth or something of the sort... but she looked JUST LIKE rod stewart... I mean it, the hair, the mole by her mouth... everything... and she'd be all tweakin' out and like, "Where's the the tofu-kan?" Some scary shit man.

The only thing worse than this group covering and destroying songs (e.g. "There She Goes") is Rod Stewart.
