Tesla Demo of Tesla Bot GEN 2

IANAL but I think internal prototype names can be anything - it's only if they bring it to market that there could be some chance of consumer "confusion".
I'm still waiting to see the lawsuit from Microsoft, who has owned the "X" trademark for many years.
Also, Elon has been promising such a robot for years - at least it's not a human in a robot costume this time... but could easily be CG. I'll believe it when I see some 3rd party people putting it through its paces. (yes, I was skeptical of the Boston Dynamics videos as well until they let others in to film)

I hope Hasbro and Takara Tomy and Paramount and Dreamworks made them pay through the nose for using their IP, but my guess is Elon just did it without permission.
I can find no press release or documentation that Tesla bought the rights to Bumblebee or Optimus Prime or any transformers robots. Looks like theft.

Hasbro and Takara Tomy and Paramount should sue the pants off of him for blatantly stealing their IP for advertising purposes.

Fuck you Elon, you’re a thief and a liar.

First thing I noticed was this robot doesn't have shoe laces. It's got LOAFERS!

I would think anything that mimics a human should be smart enough to tie shoe laces for a pair of Gucci Rooster Leather Brogues. Am I right?

I'm not impressed.

Man, I really prefer those dog-shaped robots. Humanoid robots owned by an Elon-controlled company feels like a prelude to the shittiest apocalypse.

Birds Aren’t Real On Fox News

luxintenebris jokingly says...

Am neutral on this issue of robotic crows & such -but someone mentioned starlings.

Starlings are not natural.

1) The iridescent color is an illusion
2) They can and have spoken in English & other tongues
3) A pair raised a brood in a tree next to the house & rarely made noise

None of this is normal bird behavior.

1) am told their plumage (notably the ' iridescence') has no true pigment but the structure of their feathers. Could be that it's a cloaking device since we don't always see them around.

2) if they can speak in captivity, they must while in the flock, if only to keep their English (et al) sharp. it's proof that they hear and understand us. handy for data gathering.

3) Since the pair near us have raised littles & they only 'buzz' when ma or pa show up with Grub Hub - it suggests they are covert creatures. a trait common in spies. [also, mysteriously two of the house cats have gone missing just before they moved in.]

not saying ALL birds are bots - but if there is a place to start an investigation - Starlings are the best bet.

How do we know that they weren't behind this obvious attempt at propaganda. as if falling in love is akin to being in a murmuration...

Biden Smiden - investigate Starlings.

Tesla investor day 2023

newtboy says...

Aaaahahahaha!!!!
What utter fan boy nonsense.
Tesla is poised to sell 10 billion humanoid robots!?! 😂
Tesla is going to outlast the big auto manufacturers!?! 😂

They still haven’t been capable of producing their pickup truck, Ford has.
Their semi truck has horrific range and capacity issues.
Tesla can’t sell the cars they’re making. They are no where near capacity or even profitability at their factories and are cutting production because they can’t sell their inventory even with major discounts.
Tesla build quality is not up to industry standards, and Teslas don’t hold their value on par with other EVs.

Q Bob- why are you still hyping Tesla when you claim you sold all yours when it crashed? Was that a lie? 🤦‍♂️

EV Global Market Share Exploding;

cloudballoon says...

I can't wait until the day where the world comes to its senses and gives a big "F off" to charging stations and use the swapping battery tech that some manufacturers in China is trying to implement. It'll be as easy and quick as what we do filling up a tank now. Maybe even faster and you don't even have to get off your car with the advent of robotics.

Interesting to get a video about all the competition Tesla now has, many with more advanced features and better specs and price, from Bob who usually argues that Tesla controls the entire ev market.
More surprising, the only Tesla news it contained was about their current financial struggle and how they need new revenue sources like sharing charging stations with other manufacturers, making it harder for Tesla owners to find one not being used in high demand areas (assuming they modify them to use standard universal charging connections).
