I'm not here to bitch at you I just don't get the argument you make.

You then implied that these workers have to work 2 to 3 jobs ( hence stupor) just to make ends meet because those at the top are making too much.

What about the guy ( gal) at the top making fat stacks. I agree it does rub me wrong but still how does it directly hurt the minimum wage employee?


If the employee has has / develops skills he makes more. According to you logic this would be like robbing his fellow workmates, stealing money that can go towards them.

If you started you own company struggled to make ends meet and slowly built up a company should you not receive the fruits of you labor?

When you have an entry position what should you pay? Dishwasher should not be making 30K /yr ( 15$/hr). This is what you are generally saying.

My Boss had a 5 Million bonus and salary hike to near 4 million. Yes this pisses me off but it does not correlate to what I make.
Even if you took that and spread it across all employees ( 300k) it would only be about 30 bucks each.

If you are going to go to 15$/hr why not more? Some could argue that this is too low? What about the company that made all salaries 70K the other year? 15$/hr seems pretty stingy.

Bob you still haven't thought this idea through any further, its a terrible idea. I'll explain why but its probably going to be a bit long but bear with me and you'll understand why you are 'dead' wrong.

So "Bob's Law" is now in effect, Mr Bandito is in the back of a Taxi committing an armed robbery demanding the taxi driver hand over his money and valuables. Mr Bandito notices that the taxi driver has been getting looks at him in the rear view mirror. While the driver is nervously fumbling and trying to pull out the wallet he is sitting on in his back pocket, it crosses Mr Bandito's mind that "Bob's Law" is in effect and as soon as the driver hands him the wallet over Mr Bandito shoots and kills the taxi driver.

Mr Bandito did this because the punishment (death) is the same for robbing the driver as it is for murdering the driver. An alive taxi driver would make it easier for the police to catch him and Mr Bandito is of the same propensity as the folks that passed this law and so to him it now makes sense to kill all witnesses of an armed robbery as procedure, as the penalty is the same either way.

Know what's scarier than being robbed at gunpoint? Knowing that there are police out there who see themselves as the judge and jury. There's a very good reason there's a judicial system bob, and you really should know all about that. Especially considering how many "bad cop" videos you show up in; you don't want those guys being judge and jury do you?

I'd really like to engage with you and try to convince you on this, so .. you accept that you're not perfect, right? Everyone makes mistakes - it's not an insult, we're just not perfect and we can misread things or misjudge things.. right? So if your goal as a cop is to deliver the safest society possible, you surely also want to protect society from any potential harm you might cause in your duties? I assume that you agree with these points, and so don't we agree that the best way you can do your job is by being unbiased, robotic almost? Doing exactly what is needed to prevent further harm and neutralise danger and deliver the parties to those who we have decided are best positioned to deliver the judgement? Because if you dole out the judgement yourself, you might be mistaken.

I just saying society does not need to have armed robbery in society. Those willing to rob this way should be put down. Why give this guy 5 years for armed robbery just to have him become more harden and more dangerous to society. I think the crux is the sense of right and wrong. A victim in Europe has the authorities on her side, whereas a victim in extremely conservative societies has the authorities against her side. (Not just in Islam - there's a lot of slut-shaming that goes on in super churchy crowds).

I'm not sure of the specific distribution of circumstances either. I haven't heard of any European rapes perpetrated specifically as an attack/punishment for perceived improper/unacceptable dress or social norms.
I think people in the west look at the motivations differently. Not sure if the varying motivations/circumstances make much (if any) difference to the victims - although at least one circumstance is a tad safer (eg. such as, what do you do if someone runs by and rips off your hijab - in one society, you could get raped and sent to jail if someone sees you like that... in the other society, nothing.).

Regarding the video, the guy is telling it how it is... but without any sense of scope. Yeah, these things happened. But, there are millions of immigrants, it's not as if all of them participated. It also omits rape and mistreatment that anti-immigrant natives have done to immigrants (which, likewise, it's not as if all anti-immigrant natives participated).
This is all an exercise in branding. You might as well say that white people are thieves because a white guy robbed a 7-11, or all gun owners are dangerous because a dude shot up a place.

Do you honestly believe that we can't oppose things like institutional rape without reference to this single recent ideology? This is equivalent with the idea that humanity only learned theft and murder were wrong when Moses turned up waving the ten commandments at the israelites. Feminists might use the definition you mentioned, when it suits them. Of course they do; they're the popular faction: ideologues always want to fold all notions of moral goodness into their particular cult. Catholicism was the same way when they were the only game in town.

You yourself don't even use that definition, you can't because no one can. Look at the first couple of comments you made on this video. It's impossible to read them as dealing with a basic concept rather than what feminism actually is, which is a complex modern movement that certainly postdates the suffragettes.

If feminism is strictly the concept of equality for women, then feminism has been around FOREVER and until in historical terms about five minutes ago, according to you, 'didn't have any noticeable effect'.
