Trump has a new defense….he didn’t declassify the documents he stole but that’s fine, because he still has full top secret clearance and once Mar a Lago was a temporary SCIF (with now removed security measures and personnel), so leaving the top secret classified state secrets in ballrooms and hallways open to the public, photographed by the public, is a nothingburger. The problem, 1) he does NOT still have presidential level clearance, he lost it on Jan 20 and 2) the temporary SCIF designation was dissolved well before 2020. Might work with Cannon, his lackey, but will fall flat on appeal.
His only lawyer is happy to say she’s glad she’s pretty instead of smart because she’s so dumb she thinks she can fake being smart, but she can’t. Not good when your lawyer stands up in court and says “Your Honor, I don’t know how to try this case.” Her objections are nonsensical, not on topic, and have already annoyed the judge, on cross she just started reading tweets that had not been entered as evidence, and when asked what she was doing she answered “I’m trying to get it in.” (but Trump was too small to find under his gut) at which point the judge recessed the case so Trump’s lawyer could remind herself of how to enter evidence in a court, because she has no idea how courts work! After the recess she did the exact same thing, then begged the judge “well, what do I do?” And he had to stop the trial and explain the procedure for presenting evidence in a court to Trump’s legal team…BECAUSE THEY HAD NO IDEA HOW! THEN SHE DID IT AGAIN…JUST STARTED READING A TRANSCRPIT NOT IN EVIDENCE! He is livid at this lack of competence, decorum, knowledge, and intelligence coming from the entire defense side, not smart to make the judge an enemy….and it doesn’t create an automatic appeal just because you made the judge dislike you. Imagine if that was all it takes.
She’s going to be disbarred, but she got the fame she was after and her legal career was non existent before Trump so she won’t care…but will try to make you care enough to send her cash. You probably will. 😂

“We’re going to stop banks and regulators from trying to debank you from your, you know, your your political beliefs is what they do…they want to debank you and we’re going to debank think of this, they want to take away your rights, they want to take away your country the things they’re doing all electric cars, give me a break if you want an electric car good but they don’t go far they’re very expensive.” -Trump

Can you tell me what he said? What was the topic of that run on sentence? What is debanking? Why is it ok for you to debank but not ok for banks to debank? Shouldn’t they be the ones with the most right to debank? Can you convince yourself that is a functioning brain stringing those words together and not one ravaged by the late stage syphilis he obviously has?
What?

Once again,
Trump's legal team told a judge in Colorado last week that he had no "duty" as president to actually honor the Constitution. (Not sure what he thinks “preserve and protect” means).
This argument is his defense in Colorado. Not that he didn’t engage in an insurrection, but that the 14th amendment doesn’t apply to the president.

I guess it’s game on for Biden who cannot be removed by any means now, and has carte Blanche to try a coup or just end elections outright because the constitution doesn’t regulate what the president does. 🤦‍♂️

This is you guy…this you pick. 😂

BTW- these facts are from every single reputable news outlet, so not righty media, and are in fact what he filed in Colorado court as his defense to being removed from the ballot for participating in an insurrection.

https://ca.finance.yahoo.com/news/trump-tells-court-had-no-220216709.html

He also claimed absolute immunity for fomenting a coup because stealing the election was part of his official duty as the ex-president… https://newrepublic.com/article/176052/trump-jan-6-absolute-immunity-argument-even-worse-looks

PS- I’m still waiting, now 7 years later, for what the charges against Clinton are going to be and when will they be filed. You insisted repeatedly after the election when Republicans held the house, senate, Supreme Court, and presidency that charges and prison would come amazingly soon….still waiting. Still no answer 7 years later. It couldn’t be that you just spout wishful nonsense and insist it’s reality, could it? 😂

Trump got under 12% of the “black” vote in 2020 (being generous, some polls show him below 10%, still up from 8% in 16)…but based on your posts you must think he got 90%+. It’s complete lunacy.

Oliver Anthony - Rich Men North Of Richmond

newtboy says...

Why are so many here upvoting this anti governmental America hating regressive racist extreme Christian right MAGA anthem the anti government America hating extreme Christian MAGA right has latched onto?

Do you not know what he’s saying?
Do you not understand “people like me and people like you” refers to white Christian nationalist people?
Do you not understand what’s meant by “with an old soul” (it means they want to regress to pre-civil rights era Jim crow)?
Do you not understand the “rich men north of Richmond” he speaks about are just the Democratic “tax and spend” politicians (and maybe RINOS but not MAGA)?
Do you not notice the anti government assistance message?
Did you miss the pro incel message?
Did you miss all the fat shaming by a fat man?
Did you not notice the COMPLAINT that the government protected minors being raped on an island INSTEAD OF coal miners (who in fact have had dozens of government “welfare” programs created to get them retraining and jobs in industries that are less deadly, pollute less, and pay over minimum wage as well as instituted hundreds of governmental safety regulations that have cut miner deaths exponentially).

Did no one listen to the message of the song?
Did no one else notice the completely homogenous angry white middle age crowd?

WTF people!?

Lyrics-
I've been sellin' my soul, workin' all day
Overtime hours for bullshit pay
So I can sit out here and waste my life away
Drag back home and drown my troubles away

It's a damn shame what the world's gotten to
For people like me and people like you
Wish I could just wake up and it not be true
But it is, oh, it is

Livin' in the new world
With an old soul
These rich men north of Richmond
Lord knows they all just wanna have total control
Wanna know what you think, wanna know what you do
And they don't think you know, but I know that you do
'Cause your dollar ain't shit and it's taxed to no end
'Cause of rich men north of Richmond

I wish politicians would look out for miners
And not just minors on an island somewhere
Lord, we got folks in the street, ain't got nothin' to eat
And the obese milkin' welfare

Well, God, if you're 5-foot-3 and you're 300 pounds
Taxes ought not to pay for your bags of fudge rounds
Young men are puttin' themselves six feet in the ground
'Cause all this damn country does is keep on kickin' them down

Lord, it's a damn shame what the world's gotten to
For people like me and people like you
Wish I could just wake up and it not be true
But it is, oh, it is

Livin' in the new world
With an old soul
These rich men north of Richmond
Lord knows they all just wanna have total control
Wanna know what you think, wanna know what you do

5 Crises Republicans Made up to Distract You

bobknight33 says...

As the evidence for at least an impeachment inquiry into President Joe Biden mounts, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) and co-host Ben Ferguson discussed the latest bombshell - 170 suspicious activity reports (SARs) from six banks over the past few years - on their podcast with House Oversight Chairman James Comer

https://twitter.com/KanekoaTheGreat/status/1684653912689872896?s=20

SARs are submitted and sent to the Treasury Department when banks "have a strong suspicion" that a crime has been committed, so as to protect the bank.

As Comer emphasized, these are submitted "very seldom."

If someone were to have two, the chairman explained, it would be hard for that person to open up a bank account.

Submitting an SAR, Comer added, also is "inviting the regulators to come in and regulate," which is the last thing banks want.

The 170 reports are thus quite significan

It seems you are the one who has an issue with America, Americans, and especially American freedom to be who you want, do what you want, love who you want, and worship (or not) as you want.
I think YOU need to move to the country that enforces the laws you wish we had here…Russia. No gays or trans community or rights there, no BLM (hardly any non whites), no religious freedom, no ANTIFA (because the fascist government would and does disappear them), no fruit loops (or any other American treats), no protesting, no taxes for the rich, special privileges for the rich and ruling class, no vote, no ecological regulations, etc.

Historian Delivers EPIC Takedown Of Religious Wacko

newtboy says...

You obviously know nothing about Franklin, he would have created a special library for porn larger than his private library if possible at the time, and would have included gay porn.
He was famous for being a sex fiend.
Sadly, at the time most books available were religious books, because for centuries the church owned the sole means of reproduction, so it’s natural most of the books ordered for the first public library were religious or educational in nature. It was not an exclusionary policy, but a function of availability. There was little non religious fiction to be had, and less erotica…but I bet one of those “educational religious texts” was the Kama Sutra. Somehow you read this paragraph and think it shows Franklin, of all people, was anti pornography somehow? Proven because his first donation to (I assume) the first public library wasn’t pornography? 😂

He absolutely would not have banned pornography or homosexuality, you are so silly. What fevered fantasy dream told you he was for puritanical Christian Sharia law and regulating sex?

The first link when googling Franklin…. https://freddynjagi.medium.com/benjamin-franklins-promiscuous-sexual-life-8e680d76fcfa

Man Rips Up His Cash Over Seat Belt Ticket

Man Rips Up His Cash Over Seat Belt Ticket

visionep says...

Quick google search, since I never really looked at the legal liability side pf this issue before.

Some states actually hold drivers accountable for not wearing their seatbelts and discount the payout for injuries, others don't allow insurance companies to consider whether the driver was wearing a seatbelt or not when looking at their injuries. (California discounts, Pennsylvania doesn't)

I think you are understating the societal impact of obesity compared to drivers getting more badly injured without seatbelts. To be clear I don't think the government should be regulating either.

newtboy said:

Perhaps not, but we don’t live in a free society, nor a responsibility free society.

The effects are not low. The difference in cost of a serious car crash with and without seatbelts is in the hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars.

Again, because you can be “at fault” through no fault of your own, and responsible for all injuries the other driver suffers, it’s not just smart but the only responsible move to be forced to wear them and minimize the shared risk.
It’s 100% unfair for the other driver to be allowed to take the high risk of not wearing it but you have to pay for the consequences of their irresponsibility….don’t you think?
The difference here as opposed to, say, obesity is the risk/consequences of the irresponsibly transfer to others regularly and often completely (at least financially).

If not wearing it was an automatic waiver for any and all bodily injury damages, fine, but it isn’t so being forced to wear it is the only sane and rational move. Because that choice can turn a no damage bump into injuries requiring life long care

Man Rips Up His Cash Over Seat Belt Ticket

visionep says...

I'm having a hard time imagining the case where wearing a seat belt is going to make you have better control of your car after a collision.

Your moral case, for wearing a seatbelt, while personally compelling, doesn't mean the government should be controlling that activity for individuals. Being selfish is usually not a crime.

There is shared risk if you look deep enough in all activities that people engage in throughout their lives. Newtboy's assertion that these types of activities should be regulated because of their knock-on effects doesn't seem practical in a "free" society.

The reason I don't understand why this is a law is because the affects to society are so low and are similar to many other unregulated choices people are allowed to make. The inconsistency is painful.

BSR said:

Seat belts will better help keep you in control of your vehicle after a collision. If your car rolls over or you go sideways into a tree it helps keep you from back, head and neck injuries which could leave you with pain and mobility issues long after the crash. I also see it as being very selfish to your family and loved ones who potentially may have to care for you if you survive, in which case you will be very annoyed and annoying.

It should be mandated by government because some people think they are the best drivers ever.

Does any of your family members drive the disabled alarm car?

Man Rips Up His Cash Over Seat Belt Ticket

cloudballoon says...

My 2 current cars (and a few others before them) set off the alarms like crazy just a few seconds when I drive without wearing the seat beat. The front passenger seat also behaves the same if significant weight is detected on it. I thought it's probably regulated to be so for at least over a decade or two in Canada. Isn't it so in the States?

250000 more jobs in April.
Unemployment in 2020 topped 14%, today down to 3.4%.
2020 gdp -3%. 2021 gdp +5.9%
Sure sounds like that spending turned some tides.

Markets are somewhat stagnant (but still rising at 5%+- a year) for two reasons…1) the purely Republican caused banking failures caused by Republican forced through deregulation toon in 2018 leading to exactly what the regulations were designed to prevent and 2) the Republican blackmail of the economy using the debt ceiling that daily costs more as investments and international partnerships dry up because no one wants to be tied to a nation that won’t pay its bills…or that threatens to not pay its bills over partisan blackmail schemes.

Judiciary Committee Hearing on Supreme Court Ethics Reform

newtboy says...

You must be fucking kidding.
You think this makes your party look sane? Or fair? Or even 1% honest?
I guess he expects no one to remember all the threats righty politicians make against the court, the left, and each other…usually involving a “second amendment solution”, not a threat of basic ethics rules.

Then you think listing some working lecture trips some justices took that were publicly reimbursed by law schools that never had cases before the court and which they reported equates to tens of millions in hyper luxury international trips for the entire family by people with cases before the court that were hidden and not reported as specifically and unambiguously required by law helps make the right seem LESS criminal. 😂

Clarence Thomas delegitimized himself by selling access to himself in secret, selling his decisions in secret, by not recusing himself from cases involving his “friends” (that he only met after becoming a justice), not recusing himself from cases involving his wife, her political movement/business, and pretending that he, the top legal authority in the country, didn’t know it was illegal despite it being incredibly clear in the law…laws he is 100% aware of and followed until corrupt Scalia told him he could get away with it by just not reporting it anymore (like Scalia did with million dollar hunting retreats over 70 times).

It makes you all look criminally unethical and moronic.
Why would anyone want no rules for the highest court unless they are complicit in the bribery schemes?
Self regulation has clearly completely failed, it’s never once worked in human history, but it’s Graham’s/the right’s only plan. Keep bribery legal at the highest levels. 🤦‍♂️

bobknight33 said:

Graham whining that it’s not fair to catch major criminals selling the rule of law to the highest bidder, we need to focus on minor ethics lapses and Democratic threats to enforce ethics rules instead and let them continue to self regulate…it’s going so well.

newtboy says...

You have no clue how economies work. That’s obvious to everyone.
Every professional economist will tell you clearly, the attempted blackmail using the debt ceiling as a hostage has already cost hundreds of millions or more in lost revenue/investment, and will cost TRILLIONS if our credit rating is lowered significantly, which it will be soon.
How much of that spending was Republican spending (and unprecedented economic losses) from 2019-20?
How much did they/you care in 2017-20? ZERO…that’s how much.

The economy was doing great under Biden until over leveraged banks started failing. It’s still doing well, but could falter. The bank failures are 100% due to thoughtless deregulation by maggots.

“What the Republicans passed is fair even if Democrats dont like it.”
You don’t even know the topic now? “Whatever the maggots passed”…like trillions handed back to billionaires then claiming poverty, claiming millions to feed children bankrupted us, not TRILLIONS TO BILLIONAIRES. (Or do you mean the MAGA brainless budget proposal guaranteed to create a depression, massive unemployment, and doubling or tripling the homeless while bankrupting the nation?). You are such a silly little boy.

What they should have done is repeal the Trump handouts, reinstate reasonable corporate rates (with minimum tax rates so no company and no one making $75k pays zero), that would erase any need to raise the debt, but to your ilk that’s a non starter because those poor billionaires need that money for buying and destroying companies like Twitter.

ROTFLMFAHS!! First, Bush left two wars off those books, then crashed the economy into depression. Obama pulled it out and left the economy healthy and growing. Trump in 4 years, starting with a healthy economy and balanced budget spent as much in 4 years as Obama in 8, raising the spending levels like an rocket and lowered the income of the government by trillions, made gdp a NEGATIVE number, unemployment skyrocketing like never before in history, (and don’t forget over 1 MILLION DEAD Americans and what, 10 million disabled?)

Government has both an income and spending problem…wasting $40 billion on a fence that has INCREASED immigration rates (but refusing to increase border control spending to hire more agents)…wasting $10 billion on a border stunt by Texas that didn’t catch a single smuggler but caused shortages and gridlocks at the border and ports for weeks. Outraged at the idea of staffing the IRS enough to enforce tax laws despite it being guaranteed to make billions in recovered taxes that otherwise go unpaid. Causing billions to be spent protecting government workers and buildings from terrorist maggots and their mobs and death threats and bombs, molotovs, guns, nooses, etc.

Social security isn’t a general fund item, dummy. Cutting it doesn’t put money in the coffer, it merely lowers how much workers pay into their accounts and takes some from those who already paid in.

Bank failures are due to deregulation that allowed over investment without cash reserves so when interest rates went above zero, which was guaranteed to happen sometime, they were guaranteed to lose their shirts. Regulations were put in place to make that 100% illegal after 08, and were removed in 18 guaranteeing a repeat.

Inflation caused by 1/3 of every dollar being created out of thin air under Trump while our GDP tanked. Both caused inflation.

Yeah, sure…Trump caused the crisis, failed to properly address it exacerbating it by a factor of 10, finally started to a hundred days late and billions of dollars short. Biden turned a negative Trump gdp around to positive, fixed the unprecedented high unemployment under Trump, and got Covid under control…but it’s Biden that broke the camel’s back with his 10% contribution, not Trump’s 90%….in fact we should get Trump back and get the ball rolling downhill again. 🤦‍♂️

Blaming both sides (which you are attempting) doesn’t solve the problem. Solving the problem solved the problem, and Biden has solved many problems Trump left behind and solves more every day while Trump gets another indictment for criminally personally benefiting from mismanagement, fraud, thefts, sale of state secrets, covering for murders, vote fraud FOR HIM, etc.

Trying to blame Dark Brandon for the horrific mess Trump left does not solve the problem, it attempts to distract from it with nonsense.

bobknight33 said:

MEGA has nothing to do with it.

The economy is like it is because of too much spending too quickly. Look at the increase over last 4 years.

What the Republicans passed is fair even if Democrats dont like it.

What they should have done is pass 1.5 Trillion increase with the only exception is that both sides cut programs 5% across the board, set budget to last years tax receipts.

From Bush 42 with 12 Trillion to today 32 Trillion in about a Decade.
Government does not have a $ problem they have a spending problem.
Government steals enough $ from Americans.

Yes military and social security needs to be cut as well.. Both side need to do and not blame each other. Just get the job done.

Bank failures are due the interest rate hikes. These hikes are put in place to drive down inflation. Inflation is caused ( mostly) by dumping more $ into the supply as noted above.

Trump might have started it but Biden's $ increase
is the straw that broke the camels back.

Blaming both sides doe not solve the problem. Solving the problem solves the problem.

I sometimes post cable news YouTube videos because they make a certain point well, or have footage I’m looking to post, they aren’t my sources.
