Transgender Rights II: Last Week Tonight with John Oliver

newtboy says...

ROTFLMFAHS!!!!

Randy Gene Kaufman, a Trump-loving Republican candidate for the Maricopa County Community College District Governing Board, was arrested for public sexual indecency after he was caught allegedly watching porn and masturbating in his car near a preschool on Oct. 4.

According to an affidavit, a Maricopa County police officer noticed a Ford F-150 parked across three spaces with a shade screen across the front windshield. The officer wrote that he approached the car and “immediately became alarmed as I saw [Kaufman] had his pants down mid-thigh and was exposed showing his fully erect nude penis,” Kaufman was reportedly so engrossed in his activities that he did not notice the officer at his passenger side door until he moved around the car to the drivers side window.

The officer wrote that the car was parked “with a full view of the Wirtzels Preschool and Child Care Center,” about 190 feet away, and that he saw “several preschool age children having outdoor activities in the playground,” as well as vehicles passing within 10 feet of the car.

Kaufman was asked to step out of the vehicle and was questioned by the officer. Kaufman claimed he had been in the area buying rebar and that he didn’t normally do this. “I’m just really stressed out. I have a lot of things going on,” he told the officer, admitting to having been watching intteracial porn in his car. When questioned as to if he knew he was so close to a preschool he responded, “I didn’t notice it until you came up and I got out of my truck.”

“I really fucked up; this is bad. You have no idea, Kauffman told the officer, “I’m running for the Governing Board for the colleges. I didn’t even know this was one of your sites but now I see the signs all over in the parking lot.”"

Your picks. Your guys. Jerking it to preschoolers in public and in their view in a well marked school zone, so focused on infants he didn’t notice the cop at his window. Talk about directly harming kids and debauchery…beat that.

Like I’ve said before, every single accusation you Trumpist morons make is really an admission.

BWAAAAHAHAHAHAHA!!!

It bears noting that while he SAID he’s suspending his campaign, he has not done so, and is still the Republican candidate…and will be because it’s too late to change the ballots and many have already voted….and because jerking it in public to preschool children in their full view isn’t a disqualifying act to you sick and twisted Republicans he may win.

Edit: how about some statistical facts…MAGA led states are ALL much worse for violent crime rates than Democratic led states….what’s more most are getting worse under MAGA leadership.

More harm to kids, promoted by the radical left.

Like I've said before . Democrats , the party of death, destruction and debauchery.

Better yet, notice that the garage floor drops when the pool bottom hits. It’s going to be expensive to repair if it’s even possible.

I agree about rebar. If they used any, they didn’t use it correctly to tie separate concrete pours together. It is in Brazil…no surprise at all if they didn’t follow code.

m a n...it's gonna take a hell of a lot of flex tape to fix that.

would question the clean edge and how the bottom fell out neatly (in one piece). shouldn't there be rebar or support beams?

Rebuilding the Oroville Dam Spillway | Practical Engineering

newtboy says...

*quality engineering, sadly only required because the original contractors cut corners and no regulators caught it before it failed. IMO, the companies that built it should be paying that $1 billion price tag. They’re the ones who used low quality concrete, left out literally tons of rebar, and decided a soft dirt emergency spillway on an earthen dam was good enough.

This is why we need a $3 trillion infrastructure bill. Really, we likely need ten times that. We haven’t invested in infrastructure for decades.
Had there been regular real inspections they likely would have noticed the problem when repairs only cost $100 million. There are literally thousands of dams in America with similar, or worse issues, and no money to even properly inspect them, much less fix them before they fail. Waiting for them to fail costs at least 10 times what pre-failure repairs cost, but we only care after they fail.

Thanks Manchin, our nation is crumbling thanks to you joining the obstructionist Republican Party, someone needs to burn his yacht with his family on board while he watches, then burn him in his mansion and distribute his hundreds of millions back to the state he stole it from.
Edit: Btw- Goldman Sacks has revised their 2022 estimate for gdp based on Manchin killing the infrastructure bill from over 3% to barely 2%. >$200 BILLION just gone with his vote against America. This as Manchin says “the Democrats aught to push me into the Republican Party”, but you’re already there, Joe. They aught to deny you funding and primary you, but not hand another seat to Republicans as you suggest, traitor. They really aught to strip you of all assignments, all funding, all security, and start broadcasting your location 24/7 until you are gone. If you ask me, they aught to drop you feet first in a slow meat grinder and make a day of it, televised. Then they aught to forced feed you to your family before taking every dime they have and denying them any assistance from anywhere. That’s what aught to happen to skidmarks like you.

China/Shaky building/Collapsing

newtboy says...

Florida is trying hard to catch up to China with near total deregulation in construction. It's so much better for businesses if they can build without buying materials and just use dirt and sticks instead of cement and rebar. No one is going to inspect it, and if it fails DeSantos will give the owners immunity.

That >1" thick rebar breaking with a mild smack was astonishing. Bamboo would actually be better.

*promote a *quality representation of what deregulation gets you.

Protesters try to stop truck with motorcycle

Mordhaus says...

From all reports they had set up an illegal roadblock and he didn't stop for them to do whatever it was they wanted to do. Once he passed the first part of the roadblock, they attempted to block him and had knives out to slash his tires.

They were also putting out rebar caltrops to puncture tires and had other weapons.

Anyone know what happened before this? There may have been a reason they were trying to stop the truck.

Oroville Spillways Phase 2 Update October 10, 2018

Post Tension Failure Florida Bridge Collapse Eng. Explained

Msemaurer says...

I'm a structural enginerd...I have years of prestressed concrete experience. I agree with this video. Post tension failure hit my brain as soon as I saw the video. Sudden loss of strength. PT concrete without PT = unreinforced concrete = sudden loss of strength = brittle failure. However, the PT cable could have been made of subpar materials. I once broke a #6 rebar with one hand in front of the Owner, inspector, and Contractor! Regardless, the PT rod was likely at yield when it was being tightened. As soon as it reached Fu...boom. What goes through the brains of the guys tightening a PT rod and notices the cable doesn't take load!

Oroville Spillway Damage, Rebar?, Oroville Dam 2-27-17

newtboy says...

Here's a few still shots of the bottom of the spillway being dredged to open the channel for the power plant to start discharging water. Note, one thing not seen in all those piles of concrete that have plugged the channel.....rebar. Not one piece seen in any of these shots of millions of pieces of concrete.

Rebar comes in all sizes. That was rebar.

If it weren't so incredibly think, I would call it rebar... But wow that is thick. I was scared something might have flown out almost explosion-like when it finally broke.
