The simple tool that can open most US stores

newtboy says...

They should subpoena his customer list. He’s selling burglary tools, and not just to first responders (should be limited to actual police/fire departments and locksmiths IMO)….and putting out videos describing how to break into businesses.
If there’s a sudden rash of business break ins with no door damage he should be charged as an accomplice. I can’t believe he sells multiple burglary tools on his site, I thought he just proved how bad most padlocks are, I never saw him do a breaking and entering how to before. Yikes!
It should be noted, just getting caught with burglary tools can be a 6 month sentence in California.

(PS5) RIDE 4 | Ultra High Realistic Graphics

Stunning! *quality stuff
Unfortunately reviews say the difficulty is just as realistic, so if you aren’t a superbike rider you’ll have trouble advancing.

Still, we’ve come one hell of a long way since excite bike!
I hope Road Redemption, the upcoming Road Rash style motorcycle combat game, looks 1/2 that good.

NYC's Anti-Vax Rally in 49 Seconds

Lemme guess, you don't care about that when it comes to remdesvir, which is not FDA approved, costs in the neighborhood of 4000 times as much (with profit margins to match) and known side effects are worse including....
Back pain
chest tightness
chills
cough
dark-colored urine
difficulty swallowing
fast heartbeat
fever
flushing
headache
hives, itching
light-colored stools
nausea and vomiting
puffiness or swelling of the eyelids or around the eyes, face, lips, or tongue
stomach pain, continuing
trouble breathing
unusual tiredness or weakness
yellow eyes or skin
Seizures
skin rash

People have severe side effects often enough that you have to wait under observation for an hour after getting it to be sure you don't need medical help.
You can't sue them either, but I'm sure that also doesn't matter to you because Republicans told you to take it instead of an FDA approved vaccine (and just coincidentally they and their major donors all own shares in the manufacturer).

Big pharma makes billions from the vaccine. Best part is they can't be sued if you die from the vaccine.

Why you can't compare Covid-19 vaccines

Got my first dose from Moderna on green St. Patrick's Day. Dang, it gave me a hang over the next day with pain, swollen light red shot area, and tiredness though. I was doing OK until hump day's night. I couldn't sleep well and much too. No fever, vomits, rashes, etc. though. My daily all day allergies actually calmed down for over a day. I'm not looking forward to #2 next month after #1. No J&J since it was very hard to get due to its manufacturing problems from what I read online. I am not going to wait until next month for it.

Don't Touch or Talk to Service Dogs

newtboy says...

I would guess this is in part the result of the rash of fake emotional support animals (pets in public).
Since likely 90% of "service animals" are really pets with vests and nothing more, and treated as such, those with actual service animals need to understand that the general public has little idea how to act around actual service dogs and have some extra patience. If his animal is trained well, part of that training is to ignore distractions when working. Sure, there's no need to constantly test that, but also no need to freak out if someone talks to your dog in the store.

That said, you also shouldn't engage someone's pet without permission. It's rude and can be dangerous.

the economist-populism is reshaping the world

vil jokingly says...

Powering weaving looms with steam engines made peoples lives horrible. Bad, bad idea.

Progress is reshaping the world, populism is just a rash on the surface. An allergic reaction to progress.

Thing about jizm tsunamis is that the people at the bottom get the worst of it.

Also, "nothing" is a hyperbole. They most certainly have more to lose, and they'll feel every loss that much more keenly than the better off.

I think there is more to this than just the disillusioned working class sticking two fingers up to the EU elite and taking a gamble on prosperity - frankly I think that is an ugly characterization - it suggests a rash and vindictive people when really I think (or hope?) the bulk had the best intentions for themselves and this country. Desperate for change perhaps, but I don't think they saw it as a gamble.

As for blame...hmm. Can't say I'm particularly sad to see Cameron go, but you do get a feeling of "better the devil you know" when you see the other contenders. This referendum would have been up for play at the next election regardless too. Boris and Gove were the greater opportunists by far. You want rash and reckless? Look no further - Power at any cost. I think the greatest blame is with the media. Not just the tabloids either, even the BBC gave disproportionate coverage to Farage - its the classic chicken-egg thing of them simultaneously wanting to cover what is popular whilst also having massive influence over what is popular.

Anyway, I do think he is dead right about engaging with the leave crowd. What would Jo Cox do, innit. We must answer the bigotry and xenophobia not in kind, but with kindness and compassion.

I had no idea this was a thing.
I actually hope we have a rash of fake abortion clinics being burned and receiving bomb and death threats because the anti-abortion idiots also don't know they are fakes and frauds. That would be the best karma ever. I would go cheer at both the trial and the funerals if that happened here.
I was amazed to find out that, even here in far N. California we have these fake clinics spreading lies.
