^Bullshit, both of you gullable motherfuckers are wrong. Every pubic hair carring male knows Conan spent the first 20 years of his life pushing a flower mill crank in circles. How much thaylidamide did your mums take to convince you a gritty Conan reboot won't leave you feeling fucked in the ass with a strapon by you own sister? Not a rhetorical question

Can't say I disagree with anything you say!

I was talking shorthand. Nuance gets lost in shorthand.

@bareboards2, I think you're putting a bit too much emphasis on this natural vs. artificial thing. Everyone does something unnatural to enhance their appearance from "the way we evolved". Some of it is just personal hygiene like showering, washing your hair, brushing your teeth, using deodorant, etc. Some of it is clearly about improving your appearance to others, like getting your hair cut, shaving, combing or styling your hair, what have you.
To some degree, you need to do this stuff, just to signal to the world that you care about your appearance. If you're looking to attract a romantic interest, then you need to do more than what the expected norm is.
When it comes to these sorts of extra cosmetic efforts, it's not so much about whether they actually make the woman look better according to some objective standard of beauty, it's about the knowledge that they put the effort into make themselves look the best they could. Obviously the goal is to actually succeed in making yourself look better, but it's really the thought that counts.
As for removal of body hair, I think the conceptions of the ideal has actually changed for both genders. Compare Tom Selleck in his heyday to more modern male heartthrobs. These days they are universally clean shaven with waxed chests. I'd be willing to bet that change happened around the same time Playboy started making all their models shave their pubic hair.
As for these women who turn themselves into some grotesque barbie, I don't get the sense that they're doing it to try to satisfy some unreasonable man in their life. I think most of the time, they're doing it to try to feel better about themselves (and often driving away the men in their lives in the process). I agree that's probably a symptom of a problem with our culture generally, but I don't think it's the availability of images of impossibly perfect looking women that's causing it. I think it's got to do with all the subtle and not so subtle ways our culture tends to tie a woman's appearance to her worth as a person.

The Story of Citizens United VS. FEC

joedirt says...

Here's what happened...

Some asshole, lazy, pathetic guy named Clarence Thomas ended up on the Supreme Court of the United Stated. He sleeps, sits back, has never once asks a single question or speaks in five years. He along with Bush appointee rule on some insane Citizens United case, and overturn 100 years of campaign finance law. This same Thomas clown also once wrote that.. “the Constitution does not afford students a right to free speech in public schools.” This same asshole uses the pickup line, "Who has put pubic hair on my Coke?"

Citizens_United_v._Federal_Election_Commission
Cornell Law

The case was actually about a special interest group, funded by for-profit movie maker guy who aired Hillary hit movie 60 days before the election.

Instead of ruling on "Whether a broadcast feature-length documentary movie that is sold on DVD, shown in theaters, and accompanied by a compendium book is to be treated as the broadcast 'ads'" SCOTUS didn't rule on the actual case, but instead made a far reaching leap to rule somehow that corporations have First Amendment rights (a legal arrangement to protect shareholders from liability)... Also, not only do they have First Amendment rights, but they don't have to obey and campaign finance laws or contribution limits.

So an individual can only contribute so much, but if you put your money into any corporation, you can just donate as much as you want to run ads on TV as a special interest.

Two justices should have recused themselves. In fact, if Obama didn't fail to investigate any crimes committed recently, they would have followed up...

"A year after the decision, Common Cause asked the Department of Justice to investigate conflicts of interest on the part of two of the Justices in the majority. The organization noted that Thomas's wife was the founder and president of Liberty Central, a conservative political advocacy group that would be empowered to accept corporate contributions to run campaign advertisements. In addition, Scalia and Thomas had participated in political strategy sessions organized by David H. Koch and Charles G. Koch, who stood to benefit from the decision"

I just danced my ass off.

One of my sisters is a hairdresser, and before she got sober and weird, she used to do FABULOUS hair shows with a bunch of amazing black ladies and/or queens in the black neighborhoods and/or gayborhoods of houston and dallas. they were too much fun, and this video reminded me of them. and i just thought of how much i'd like to see a pubic hair show.

Sick of this life
Not that you'd care
I'm not the only one with
whom these feelings I share

Drowning in strife
Ripping out my pubic hair
I'm not the only one with
whom these crabs I shared

Clever. Can the monkey do any other tricks?
I guess you don't recognize the lyrics to Dead Horse when you see them.

Nope, I don't. I think GnR is pretty shitty with the exception of a few songs.

By the way.. you calling me a monkey? What if I was black? RACIIIIIST! BAN!~!!~!!

brilliantly done farhad!
that was only 10% sucking up and 90% sincere..
really..very well done.
would you ever consider being my editor?
for i am "the run-on-sentence" king!
this whole creating a religious military in preparation of spiritual warfare
has me a tad worried.
the average age of an american soldier is 19,i have pubic hair older than that.
what the OCF stands for is bad doctrine at best, zealotry and extremism at worst.
tens of millions have died due to dogma and doctrine all through human history.
the perversion of scripture to perpetuate a violent agenda is the antithesis of the new covenant.
the hypocrisy is staggering.

Thanks for putting me on to this guy, Brilliant. i went on youtube. There was a long documentary about 90 minutes. It was the history of his joke telling, with a smattering of an autobiography mixed in. He is a brilliant comic, definitly one of the best, top 3. He had me rolling with laughter for 90 minutes. the 1 when he talks about taking a shit when he worked in the shipyard and beating out his flaming pubic hair with a hammer: so funny ...here's a link to the first bit. . Thanks again
