Trey Parker (South Park) - I spit on your love
you know what's actually funny about this? In the 80's, a 16 year old Trey Parker wrote better music than a lot of current "musicians".

Trey Parker & Matt Stone at the Tonys 2012

@bmacs27 -- you mean the fact that these smart-ass cartoon makers with potty mouths write the most successful musical in years and sweep the Tonys last year, selling out every single show for months into the future, while Broadway professionals who have slaved at their craft for decades and have yet to have a hit? That subtext?
How about you kind lady? Could I trouble you for a quick Lewinsky?
Just don't Bro-down against Sondheim, it's suicide!

Is it still considered a subtext when it's slathered on so thick?>> ^bareboards2:

WTF, they made a stage musical of Once?
I haven't actually seen it, but I listen to the soundtrack all the time... awesome. Glen Hansard is a very talented chap
Yeah, I know, I saw the tiny clip in this video, went "ooh, that sounds like good music" (didn't click what it was yet), went to youtube, found that clip, started watching it and went... "Hang on, I know that song"

I'm not defending the mormon church, I am just commenting that the level of discourse in society is at an all time low, that this is socially acceptable. Obviously it isn't a winning issue with videosift, but I think that its wrong to treat people this way.
>> ^UsesProzac
I'm not sure that the level of discourse has changed, so much as Christianity has become an acceptable target again. Parker and Stone actually treat the Mormon church with an unprecedented level of respect considering all the things that South Park has parodied, as evidenced by the "All About Mormons" episode. They present the religion as weird, but in the end, the people of South Park are shown to be a million times stranger and the Mormons decide the best course of action is to leave all the idiots to themselves.
Regulators considering review of Facebook's IPO
>> ^EMPIRE:
if they go bankrupt, i'm pretty sure:
a) some other company will take over facebook and continue its operations
and/or
b) some other similar product by some other company will appear and people will move on
"Some other company IS the company, and some other similar "product" will no-doubt emerge designed by some OTHER company recruit like Suckerberg or that shill Sean Parker, FBI/CIA recruit and universal cunt-creator of Napster and Plaxo.
These two douchebags may go down in history as the parents of the future police-state's information gathering network.

Charlie Parker laughing at Hawkins's attempt to do playback
The audio track was already laid down. It's the sight of him laughing at his co-performer that they didn't want on the reel.>> ^legacy0100:
I'm going to take a wild guess and say it's not actually 'laughing at' the attempt, but he is merely enjoying the moment. And perhaps the studio manager is telling him to shush because they can hear him chuckling.

Madness
Love that the South Park guys, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, are behind the animation of many of Alan Watts' discourses.
