I think if you want to make Earth similar to Mars all you have to do is remove the magnetosphere. It wouldn’t take long (geologically) for solar winds to rip away the atmosphere and radiation to sterilize the surface. Perhaps a necessary first step to colonization is a foolproof synthetic magnetosphere. How else do you shield an entire planet/moon?

1. Drop the lit match into a pile of garbage while focusing on the burning box of matches.
2. Piling dry cardboard onto the burning garbage as if somehow that would smother it.

You can't vote outside. Social distancing while voting is going to take the lines that were 5-6 hours long in places and make them twice that long. How do you think in person voting could possibly work given those facts?

How big was the room? How well sealed? It has to displace enough of the oxygen long enough to drown you. You really don't wanna get 1/2 way, run out, and survive with brain damage, that's probably not going to help with whatever problem made you try suicide in the first place.
