Real Time Facial Re-Enactment

Payback says...

Lulz, what is it with people doing shit because they can, and never asking if they should? I thought the real time voice mimicry tech was bad enough...

Amazing Voice Impressions - Jake Foushee

dannym3141 says...

Same goes for statham and batman. I hate to be the Simon Cowell of this version of america's got talent, but he really did not get the subtle characteristics of any of them. Not bad, worth watching, probably has a career in voice work, but not in mimicry.

Mekanikal said:

He definitely has the voice, but his Morgan Freeman needs work.

The Turkey Dictator

chingalera says...

This never gets old...

Turkeys and chickens and most avian species are call and response-It's communication-The louder the better with turkeys-They'll always defer to the louder gobble and respond immediately in mimicry. Don't know why this is, but it makes em fun to raise and hard to wanna eat.

Kitty Playing Dead and High Five

Budgie balancing on a tennis ball

berticus says...

Hahaha - yep! If you've ever had a pet budgie you'll recognise from the sound and behaviour that this little guy is getting pretty excited...

I had a pet budgie when I was a kid and his verbal mimicry was hilarious because it was a mix of all the swearwords I taught him and all the "cutesy" shit my mum taught him.

LOL. Issy and I actually shut off Sherlock Holmes halfway through and mailed it back to Netflix. Horrible.

I finally saw Sherlock Holmes a few days ago and it was exactly as horrible and ridiculous as this parody makes it seem, which brings up a question... If a parody of a thing is so close to its subject as to be almost exactly the same, does it cease to be parody and become mere mimicry?

Amazing 6th grader, does "paparazzi"

zomgg says...

>> ^zomgunicorns:

well.. it's good and all but he pretty much just copied one of Lady Gaga's acoustic performances that you can find on youtube. I know, I know.. it's a "cover" but I just think with his talent (which he has), he could of at least put his own spin on it. Like how Lady Gaga puts her own spin on her own songs when she does them acoustically

Are you kidding? This kid is a 6th grader, even mimicry of a good acoustic version of this caliber is exceptional, as long as he keeps growing from this he'll a) Get all the pussy(dicks) he wants and b) Go on to much greater things. Should be fun to see his work in 8 years.

"'Downfall' Hitler Parodies" Yanked by YouTube (Parody Talk Post)

burdturgler says...

Well, I don't want to debate semantics but you did call them parodies.
So wait, I guess I do want to debate semantics.
And "parody" is important because it falls under fair use.
- make a spoof of or make fun of
- a composition that imitates or misrepresents somebody's style, usually in a humorous way
- spoof: make a parody of; "The students spoofed the teachers"
- humorous or satirical mimicry

FOX News Host Not Happy With GI Joe Movie's Internationalism

gwiz665 says...

Because I am in a better country than USA, my opinion does not matter? What planet are you from?

My remark was a direct response (or mimicry) to the hosts rant in the beginning.

GI Joe is a term that refers to SOLDIERS. If they made the movie that you people obviously want, where Americans bravely go around saving the rest of the world (akin to Team America) it would have a dated and poor point to make.

>> ^SpaceOddity:
If you're already there gwiz, your comment on this video is worth less than a rat's fart, considering you just took the opportunity to mindlessly bash the USA rather than discuss the topic of the video.
Yes, Fox is dumb and that guy is annoying.
But GI Joe is a term that refers to Americans.
They're the "Real American Heroes". Hell, just look at the logo. Not a color scheme that screams "UN squad" to me.
Being American is such a big part of GI Joe to divorce it from that means it's not GI Joe anymore. Why even call it that? Just start a new franchise instead of ruining a classic one.
I can't believe I'm standing alone with QM on this. Sad day.

ACORN Natl Spokesman Gets Kicked Off The Set By Glenn Beck

Unaccommodated says...

He should have stood up and left when the d-bag turned his mic off. It was all a show so that Beck could look like he was in control, and in his mind "do what the people wanted." He even breaks down into child-like mimicry when he gets the data wrong on the registered voters. nauseating.

The Gladiators (in studio)

rottenseed says...

it's amazing how that small island made such an impact on music. I don't mean just the generation of ska, rocksteady and reggae from the mimicry of rock from the states and the UK, but from dub which is the grandfather of the modern day DJ/turntable combination.
