Hayes: NRA "Good Guy With A Gun" Theory Failed In Real Time

newtboy says...

Hard to find complete data on that timeframe….

There have actually been 212 so far just 5 months into this year alone with 251 deaths…if you extrapolate from this year’s rates, that’s 6000 dead in the last decade from mass shootings…but I think it’s less because mass shootings are on the rise since 2016.

https://www.gunviolencearchive.org/reports/mass-shooting?page=8

And here’s a list of over 10 years narrowed to incidents of 4 or more deaths that adds up to 601 in the last decade…so extremely conservatively at least double that if you account for the vast majority of mass shootings that end with <4 deaths, likely triple or more.
https://www.motherjones.com/politics/2012/12/mass-shootings-mother-jones-full-data/

No matter how you count, it’s more than Chicago over one year (including police shootings? Suicides?)
Apples to oranges anyway.

Wonder why you chose Chicago….hmmmmm….why could it be?….

St. Louis, MO (69.4 murders per 100000 residents)
Baltimore, MD (51.1)
Las Vegas, NV (31.4)
Kansas City, MO (31.2)
Memphis, TN (27.1)
Chicago, IL (24)

B-17 Bomber And Crew Facts/Statistics

I'd wager that a reasonable percentage of the lucky guys that survived a full tour of duty wouldn't agree with the assessment of flak jackets being essentially "unstylish 40 pound vests".

Also, the video makes it sound like the success rate of coming back from a single mission was 25-33%. I think those numbers are more accurate for the rate of completing a full tour of 25 missions (before being rotated out). The number I recall is about a 4% loss rate on a single mission:
100%-4% = 96%
.96^25 = 36%

If the chances of coming back from a single mission were 33%:
.33^25 = (pretty much zero).

I wouldn't want to chance my life on a roll of the dice where I die unless I roll a 5 or a 6, but that's pretty close to accurate...

Those nitpicks aside, still a great video that gets the newer generations that are too young to either have a grandfather from the war or to have watched Memphis Belle a bit of a sense of what those guys went through.

you guys have no clue what racism really is. You are probably all white folk thats grown up in white suburbia and havent experience shit in the real world, much less racism. Grow up trolls. My comment doesnt even meet the basic criteria for being racism.
You guys have no clue. If I made a statement, most mexicans have toned skin. Is that racism? No. Its simply the experiences that I have had through life that leads me to believe this. Is it accurate, who knows. My statement above is no different.
Again, grow up trolls. If you want to see racism, go live in Memphis for a few years. Then you might be able to tell the difference between a comment and what is racist.
Or live in ignorance... whatever gets you through the day.

mexicans having darker skin has actual physical evidence backing it up moron, that's why it's not racist. you can actually back that with this thing called science. Your original statement is you being an ignorant prick. In other words, Chaucer is not the center of the universe and your personal experiences colored as they are do not dictate reality.
It is deeply disturbing that you cannot tell the difference between those two statements.

I must have hit the nail on the head with you having no life experiences as now you are just making shit up. GG Troll.

@chilaxe, I never know if you are serious or trolling, but since you admire Cain so much, perhaps it would interest you to know that you would also consider his parents low class and not well educated, who worked 'cognitively simplistic' jobs:

Herman Cain was born in Memphis, Tennessee, to Lenora Davis Cain, a cleaning woman and domestic worker, and Luther Cain, Jr., who was raised on a farm and worked as a barber and janitor, as well as a chauffeur for Coca-Cola Company president Robert W. Woodruff. Cain has said that as he was growing up, his family was "poor but happy." Cain related that his mother taught him about her belief that "success was not a function of what you start out with materially, but what you start out with spiritually". His father worked three jobs to own his own home — something he achieved during Cain's childhood — and to see his two sons graduate.

Also, the uploader is obviously in the Air Force, so he must have at least graduated from high school.

Quit sending me private messages from your sockpuppet accounts, choggie.

How about sticking with this?
I am a new user who knows the member formally known as choggie, the same who created this account on his behalf upon request.
He described a scenario in which the actions or inclinations of a few douchebags on the site who for lack of administrative mandate or simply users with an opinion who otherwise tend to remain voiceless by withholding judgment for sake of spectacle or novelty, are suffered.
At first glance, and a second, I would tend to agree that some are not commandeering the cart for the sake of the passengers. Why then, would I be addressing you?

No problem with it, consider the matter "taken up" with dag or lucky.

In reply to this comment by kronosposeidon:
Your use of pseudo-intellect reminds me of an old not-friend who liked to say the same thing. And this comment came out of nowhere, didn't it?

And how generous of you to give the 10th vote on choggie's last six videos that were published:

I know you weren't trying that hard this time, choggie. Chic's working out pretty well for you, so why not stick with that.

Ban.

And as usual, if anyone has a problem with this, take it up with @dag or @lucky760.
