I upvoted this comment because 1)its atleast partially true, and 2)it is a fair expression of opinion 3) atleast 6 people on the sift downvoted this despite 1 and 2 being true.

I live in atlanta. I strongly dislike Obama's policies (which i've read from wikipedia, and heard on all of the debates). I know you'd like to characterize anyone with a few conservative values as one of these, but i can assure you that if i walked out to Five Points, amidst the "CHANGE We Can Believe In" shirts, and started asking questions about Obama, you'd get worse answers than these. YOU are just as susceptible to spouting out catchphrases and soundbites as any other joe. The truth is, YOU DON'T KNOW THE TRUTH. You are fed the same amount of horse as the rest of us. The only people who really know what's going on are the people who create said malarkey in the form of "news".

I do not claim to know the truth. I am stating my reasoning for why I am willing to suspend my disbelief.
and, i also was referring to the comments in the article
i was correlating your premise("Thats kind of a funny link... given the mass of comments behind it..") that an article that is responded to by a number of conservative readers(^) is just as valid as a video responded to by a number of liberal readers.
I normally will distance myself, but the site that i've grown to....love? has become safe haven for some kinds of bashing, and a public forum for chastising those who would do otherwise.
and, i never said any of this is not true. I know that at least some of it is fact, just from reading the wikipedia for mr. mccain.

A civilized and adult argument?... You mean like one where I am not telling you your head is up your 'ass'... ( I think that seemed to be one of your 'points' )and swearing away because we don't agree?...
Thank you for proving my point on the hypocrisy... i really couldn't have put it any better.

Thank you,
now this is an argument
-swearing is unnecessary
-insult is unnecessary
For these, I apologize
Do you deny that Democrats and Republicans live in two separate worlds with different facts, different realities, different logical process, and general disdain for each other?
to quote myself (http://www.videosift.com/video/The-McCain-Palin-Mob)

Now, you can choose to believe or disbelieve an interview (unfortunately not youtube-d) with the Iraqi Foreign Minister. I choose to think that if there was false statement in this article, it would be promptly removed for LIBEL (harmful statement in a fixed medium, especially writing but also a picture, sign, or electronic broadcast). Coincidentally, it has not, nor has there been mention of a lawsuit. This is evidence to me that it is not libel, therefore is not false.
As for your "given the mass of comments behind it":
There are 25 comments on this video, as of now on videosift.
There are 21 comments on this video, as of now on Youtube.
According to this logical process, when this video recieves 700 comments on youtube, it will cease to have any significance?
p.s.
We love a good fiery comment thread, but sometimes they go overboard. Please avoid personal attacks. It's okay to criticize ideas but refrain personal insults. Please avoid blatantly racist speech, threats, or other verbal abuse. This goes for comments in public arenas as well as private member profile comments. If a comment is bad enough it will probably be deleted due to negative feedback. If these types of comments are regular occurrences, we will probably ask you to leave the community.

Don't downvote unless you feel i have violated the above.
If you feel i have not, but still feel the need to down vote, then you are, in practice, censoring my opinion. Since I submit to <a rel="nofollow" href='http://www.videosift.com/video/The-Philosophy-of-Liberty-aka-Libertarianism-made-easy' title=''>this school of thought, that doesn't fly.

Hitchens vs. Sean Hannity on the existence of God

Trancecoach says...

Let's not confuse the issue.. those religious organizations that provide "free" food, water, medicine, housing, etc., do so under the pretenses of accepting their religious belief systems (BS) as "truth" as denying all others as malarkey.

And the secular groups that do the very same thing, without such pre-requisites.. well, they're the true "saints", doing so even without recognition.
