Russia has already lost territory in Ukraine they’ve held for years, and are about to (according to Wagner) abandon the front lines including Bakhmut on Wednesday because they have no ammo.
The Ukrainian counter assault hasn’t even started.
Crimea has been under attack, and Russia itself. The war has created the homeland danger it was supposed to be eliminating, but also destroyed Russia’s ability to defend itself! Lol.
It has also decimated an entire generation of Russian men and their economy, neither of which are likely to rebound.

Russia may not only lose all of Ukraine and Crimea, but also some of Russia proper. They will definitely lose international standing and a huge portion of gdp.

They have lost the war already….badly…and have absolutely zero chance of winning on the battlefield now that Ukraine has next gen weapons and training….they couldn’t win against non military citizens with bolt action rifles, how will they beat a well trained hardened military with M1 Abrams tanks, long range advanced mobile howitzers, anti tank/air missiles, 10000 well trained drone pilots, advanced air defenses, and the backing of NATO and the West?

I would absolutely support a >100 mile deep DMZ in Russia under Ukrainian and NATO control, and severe limitations on the Russian military limiting it to only defensive weapons and a minimal army. They will be lucky to get a deal that good if things continue.

Yeah the warhead has to travel 25m past the launcher before the warhead is armed but with a dud like that run like hell just in case. Thats just standard on any range. Then call in the Sappers/Pioneers and stay away from it. M203's have to spin a number of times before there armed like darksun said but wire guided rockets don't spin and there is a range finder built into the launcher. I never got to fire HEAT-WRAP rounds just TPT (pratice) rounds. There are 2 or 3 french units gearing up for the next tour in Afganistain.

ERYX 600m range can defeat reactive armor (the americans have so far refused to declassify there test M1 abrams vs ERYX)
MILAN 1/2 2200m range cant defeat reactive armor (Milan 3 can though but loses 200m)

But yeah the Javelin i have fired HEAT rounds and that thing is fun watching it slam into the target from above. They like to zig zag but before hitting they usualy fly up then just slam right into the target its fun to watch.

BTW, the first M1 Abrams had a 105mm rifled cannon, but was replaced by a 120mm smooth bore cannon in the M1A1 and M1A2 versions. The rounds fired out of the Abrams deploy stabilizing fins after it leaves the barrel, so there is no need to have a rifled barrel.

I also just looked up some specs on the Challenger2 and M1 Abrams. The challenger only does 40kph off road which is 24mph, the M1 does 30mph. I believe the German Leopard2 is currently the fastest tank.
