Neil Patrick Harris Confronts Jason Segel
I imagine that if I had any familiarity with Les Miserables at all, I might fully enjoy this clip, but it only gave me a semi.

Anne Hathaway demo tape for the Queen Tribute Band
It's called, " Ella Enchanted (2004)"
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0327679/
Obviously a gem that slipped-through the cracks and inspired a casting-call for her her to eventually star in another version of Les Miserables, and her inevitable Oscar for her multi-talented skills as the pert, cute, and can sing-her-own-parts-kinna powerhouse (hate all the Les Miserable screen-adaptations, have yet to see this one).
Compare to these classic multi-talented hotties Debbie Reynolds, Rita Hayworth, Marlene Dietrich
The only modern actress' that come close in actual pipes and raw beauty are Scarlet Johansson and Nicole Kidman, who can pretty-much sing her tiny little cute Aussie ass off...
Oh wait, lest we forget the two dames from Chicago (2002), who can hold their own with the rest-Zeta-Jones and Zelweger, but Renée was trumped by Catherine in that film.

Saturday morning cartoons taught you collectivism! (Politics Talk Post)
I remember being really exited when I heard that there was going to be a Dungeons & Dragons cartoon. I woke up early in the morning to check it out only to find that the characters were not a bunch of bad ass warriors and magic users, but were instead stupid little time traveling kids. Never watched it again.
I think I got most of my collectivist training from Sesame Street.
Robotech was my favorite cartoon, and although I've never analyzed it politically, I did manage to find a video vaguely linking it to the French Revolution. http://www.videosift.com/video/Robotech-Les-Miserables-Mashup

Absolutely brilliant! I look forward to their Les Miserables!
Jeremy Irons: Broadway 'Slowly Killing Itself'
Excellent sift. Broadway seems to be competing directly with Hollywood in terms of ponderous production and dumbed down scripts with mass appeal. Yes, that includes The Lion King and Wicked.
If I want to see theater, it should be thought provoking, challenging, and above all *cheaper*. I ain't dropping 80 quid to see some tired production like Les Miserable (unless I am trying to get into a chicks' pants).
