Might I add that all the Sifters and individuals we met there were wonderful! We were hoping for a surprise appearance from someone, but to no avail... although when some of us went out for a bite to eat afterwards, I swear we ran into the spirit of Choggie, who showed up to us in the form of a loopy transient, straight out of a David Lynch film.

This was the best miniseries ever. Still makes me cry.

It wasn't until this movie that I really fell in love with the WW2 generation. Whenever I saw those old vets walking wearing those vet hats they love so much... I'd just walk up to them and shake their hand and tell them thanks.

Recently I did this to a Vet we met and he kissed my hand Those sweet old farts are still big flirts. How funny.

Most of the elements that make up the plot are extreme projections of current trends. Increasing sterility and government mandated breeding are a couple issues that come to mind. Easter Egg also broaches the issue of how we interact (poorly) through terminals. The personae we use on the web don't necessarily reflect the way we would speak if we met face to face, although I'd like to think we do better on the whole than Newton and Melody.

It does not help that searching from different places yields different results, but here are some things to think about when searching:

a) Searching for "How We Met" is not the same as searching for How We Met
b) All search terms must be found in order for a video to be returned in the results (unless using advanced search and prefixing with '-')
c) The default search method is "Most Relevant", but sometimes I get different results when using advanced search and searching by "Newest" ("Most Releveant" will search titles, tags and description; not sure about "Newest")

Logic is good. I'm not denouncing logic. It has it's place in society: a huge place. I'm just saying that my faith is not based on logic. I can't prove my faith scientifically. Can you describe the taste of salt to someone who has never tasted it? That is how I feel about the spiritual experiences that I've had in my life. Nobody can tell me they didn't happen. I KNOW they did.

Besides, if I'm wrong and you're right, nothing happens to either of us. I lived my life trying to be the best person I could be, and so did you, I'm sure. BUT... If I'm right and your wrong... Oops.

You seem like a nice guy. I don't take your words to be combative. We'd probably be pals if we met in real life.

We met Kate's plane in New York (she arrived at JFK via the Concorde). This video had just come out. I introduced myself, she was gracious and charming, and all my wife could think to say was "I thought you cut your hair!".

Oh wow, we met this carpet dealer in Ankara who had an excellent stash of hash; he also had an uncanny knack of picking out the American tourists in passers-by, so he always had Americans hanging out in his house/store just kicking back and shooting the breeze. Oh and Cuban cigars! <3

Wow, that is some pretty amazing synchronicity - considering it was over 24 hours ago that we met, and have had no contact since. The singularity is approaching, you will all be absorbed into the Sift.

I went with a whole group of my buddies from Concordia university, we were like a large group of people (Me, Khaleed, Jamal, Oscar, Mike, Bryce, Ryan, Ali, Nathaniel, Fareed and these 3 other guys I don't know that well). So out we coming pouring from Bell Center, with the other 21,000 or so people that attended the Montreal Canadians vs Ottawa Senators game. Everyone was pouring out on the vast parking lot surrounded by restaurants like Baton Rouge and shit.

We were walking along with the crowd, cheering the win "Go Habs Go!", some guys pass us and cheer with us for a while, suddenly some innocent words are taken harshly (something about feeling bad for the Senators) one guy from their group started fighting with the 3 random guys we met, another started pummeling Fareed in the face. The rest of us got into it trying to break it up, Ryan went insane and started totally fucking these guys up (this guys goes to the gym everyday for 3 hours, oddly enough he's in finance) other guys running in held other guys, this wasn't taken nicely, random people started hitting each other. 3 or 5 little brawling groups emerged, we totally outnumbered the other group by like 5 people, but most of us were trying to stop it. People slipped on the pavement and road, people were kicking each other in the face, punching everything. It got really violent as one of the enemy fell down and someone kicked him in the face repeatdely, I was holding down another guy who spun me around, my glasses flew off but I held him back and down like a bitch. Finally we broke it up, everything seemed okay, I picked up my glasses and we started to move on all going like "WTF Just Happened?"... especially since everyone was from Montreal and we fucking won!

Further up the street the fight again started up again, we stopped it quickly and confronted the guys it seemed like we worked everything out, then someone called Fareed an arab terrorist bitch, it got testy and we were nose to nose with these guys. Someone pushed someone, my friend who held up the fight was attacked and again the fight developed with the same guys again, same shit seemed to start up, but this time a MTL police officer grabbed one of these guys and screamed into his ear "TO MOVE ON". It was over right there. We recovered, and continued down the road, still shocked with what happened. Everything seemed over and we were all laughing now because we really fucked the other guys up in defense.

Like a block down we were all talking, I looked back just to see group running up to us. One of them punched a friend in the back, another grabbed a friend and spun him around, I ran in holding back on of them. Our friends were breaking it up, but then lost it and we started destroying these bastards. I held one guy down the whole time, I got punched and scraped in the process by someone else (I have a cut above my eye, and a big red punch mark on my face...).

This fight got so insane that we actually crossed a two lane street and ended up splitting up, I ended up on the other side. I just yelled at the fucker I held down let go and kicked him away... We all met up in the middle of the busy street and felt triumphant! What an amazing night! Great introduction to Hockey! I just wish I had my camera LOL

I wonder what the fuck all the people in the cars thought, who were passing this insanity the whole time.
