Ghomert Asks If Forestry Department Can Change Earth's Orbit

StukaFox says...

Wait -- she has eyebrows?! I guess I never got that far north on her. Also, you have great taste in late-70s TV SciFi babes!

newtboy said:

I always wondered....If she can metamorph into anything, why does she still have lines of warts for eyebrows?

I'm hoping we freeze à la Buck Rogers, then maybe I can have my own Colonel Wilma Deering.

Jefferson Beauregard Sessions vs Sally Yates (2015 vs 2017)

Sounds ok, but I would prefer all of California, not just the far north where I am (and that's part of the cascadia fault zone). Also, is Canada OK with part of BC leaving? That seems like another fly in the ointment to me, but I would welcome them.

YES WE CAN!
In saw somewhere about Washington, Oregon and parts of BC becoming Cascadia awhile back.

I don't know how far north or south you are, but where I come from, the Solstice is greeted with great joy!

Apparently Stearns Warf is what I thought was Monterey Bay. At least Monterey was in there somewhere so I don't need to change the tags. ;-)
1:33 the topography and stone looks a lot like McCloud Falls, (far north, near Shasta) but I'm not certain
1:41 from the wineries and small hills, it looks like Napa, but I'm guessing on that one
1:46 Castello di Amorosa in Napa
1:48 Sundial Bridge in Redding (Turtle Bay) over the Sacramento River

Hey! You too, to you and your family.

I live pretty far north -- almost Canada -- and we have pretty dramatic swings in the length of our days.

My favorite salutation, which I made up myself, that brings genuine joy to one's entire being if you live like this....

HAPPY RETURN OF THE LIGHT!!

Don't know if you are close enough to the South Pole for that to be meaningful.

If not --

An American Merry Christmas to you and yours.

Alligator Snapping Turtle vs Common Snapping Turtle

Stormsinger says...

In spite of the dozens of snappers that I've caught while fishing, or encountered while wandering creekbeds, I don't think I'd ever realized that they were alligator snapping turtles. I didn't think they got this far north...but seeing both, side by side, makes it clear that I've never actually gotten a close look at any other kind.

Fascinating video, in my opinion.

Tokyo dense fog

newtboy says...

I had no idea they have a statue of liberty in Tokyo!

Pretty, but it has nothing on SF fog, and we beat SF most of the time in thickness of fog, we just have nothing but 350' tall trees sticking above it here on the far North Coast (of California). We're so foggy (normally) that I've been told our airport was built as a training facility to teach instrument flying for WW2, it was the foggiest place in the US, so they put an airport here!

TDS 3/13/14 - 2014: A Waste Odyssey

chingalera says...

Yeah-I used to as well. Total shit-box(except for parts of the Bay area and the foothills of the Sierra Nevada, and maybe far north where no-one hardly lives). Enjoy your more-than-slightly irradiated coastal fishing, porous southern border, and prison construction oh, and state taxes adjusted by friends and families of cunt-bags.

Land of retarded gun laws and glowing sea life, over-priced homes and flakes by the thousands. Real nice state these days.

Kangaroo eating a penguin on the beach

oritteropo says...

There are certainly penguins on the south coast of Australia, most famously their nesting spots Victor Harbour - http://www.tourismvictorharbor.com.au/whales_penguins.html and Phillip Island - http://www.penguins.org.au/

Their actual range goes at least as far north as New South Wales, but not quite southern Queensland (where Rustic Pathways are based).

BoneRemake said:

Honestly I would like some back ground information.. not only for myself but for those that also are wondering why a penguin is on sand... on tropical water.. oh and the fact someone said it is a penguin. Oh they also said it was being eated by a known being known for the dawwnunder scenario.. or africa etc. but really ??? an actual penguin .. Source ?

put this info in the info spot because it seems bs to all those that watch it, why would some one upvote this thinking... blach I will leave it at that, I have a bunny running around my living room for the first time. holy shitfuck do they move fast in open spaces. and so effin darn curious. I mean.. they are snow boots, OOOOoO I will turn them on their side so he can go in them.. a gave of feet smell. ]

Sorry for the rant, no one else around but a certain small thinger to listen to my blah blah blah.

London 2012 Mascot Introduction

Are mascots like these what happen when they want desperately to offend no-one?
"Nope, can't have that, looks a little Caucasian"
"Nope, can't have that, looks like a bear, people are afraid of bears"
"Nope, can't have that, looks like someone from the far north of Queensland, Australia"
I mean, they've just got rid of anything that could be identified as anything and ended up with two amorphous lumps.
Well fucking done.

On the plus side they're not as bad as the London 2012 Olympics logo that most people agree looks like Lisa Simpson giving a blowjob...
