NATO Declares Nord Pipeline Ruptures Sabotage

Nord Stream Pipeline Explosion Was Orchestrated By Decorated Ukrainian Colonel: Report
https://ground.news/article/ukrainian-military-officer-coordinated-nord-stream-pipeline-attack_f2dc68

By The Washington Post via Bard AI to grab below article

A Ukrainian military officer coordinated the attack on the Nord Stream pipeline last month, according to U.S. intelligence officials. The officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity, said that the officer was working with a team of Ukrainian divers who carried out the attack.

The officials said that the attack was ordered by the Ukrainian government as a way to retaliate against Russia for its invasion of Ukraine. They said that the attack was also intended to send a message to Russia that Ukraine is capable of striking at its critical infrastructure.

The attack on the Nord Stream pipeline was a major blow to Russia's energy sector. The pipeline carried natural gas from Russia to Germany and other European countries. The attack has caused a significant increase in the price of natural gas in Europe.

The Ukrainian government has denied any involvement in the attack on the Nord Stream pipeline. However, the U.S. intelligence officials say that they have "high confidence" that the Ukrainian military was involved in the attack.

The attack on the Nord Stream pipeline is the latest escalation in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. The conflict has been going on for over eight months and has caused a humanitarian crisis in Ukraine.

Implications of the Attack

The attack on the Nord Stream pipeline has a number of implications for the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. First, it shows that Ukraine is willing to strike at Russia's critical infrastructure. This could lead to retaliation from Russia, which could further escalate the conflict.

Second, the attack has caused a significant increase in the price of natural gas in Europe. This could hurt the European economy and make it more difficult for Europe to support Ukraine.

Third, the attack has damaged the relationship between Russia and Germany. Germany was one of the main recipients of Russian natural gas through the Nord Stream pipeline. The attack could make Germany more likely to support sanctions against Russia and to provide military aid to Ukraine.

Conclusion

The attack on the Nord Stream pipeline is a significant development in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. It is a sign that the conflict is escalating and that it is becoming more difficult to resolve. It is also a sign that the conflict is having a significant impact on the global economy.

Bob, it’s on video. Unedited video (unlike the kind your sources produce to create faux outrage), so not the kind you would believe. Facts aren’t for the right anyway, no wonder you can never identify them.

The defense attorney (not the prosecutor) argued in court on video that allowing another calm, silent, black pastor to sit with the family was equivalent to having the courtroom packed with white Colonel Sanders masked men.

Here’s news coverage..Starts around :24

Again, you dismiss fact because it’s not far right propaganda, but you believe Italian space lasers can change paper ballots through multiple layers of buildings and containers, that vaccines have mind control nanobots that are going to make you vote Democrat, but still want to congratulate Trump for getting them produced (even though he had nothing to do with producing them), you believe covid was an attack by China (that Trump failed to respond to even though it’s killed 3/4 of a million Americans), you probably believe eating babies grants eternal youth, I know for certain you don’t contradict those who do, you even believe Trump won an election!

Again, as usual, you just deny the truth any time it’s unpleasant for you. So sad, little man.

Haven't been following it.
That being said The prosecutor job is to paint the defendant in negative light.

These are not facts.
Again you push false truth.

Interesting tact….in the Arbery case, where three white men decided to hunt and murder an unarmed black jogger trying to escape their murderous racist human hunt…and I’m positive you stand with the killers…the defense has complained that the family shouldn’t be allowed to have any BLACK pastors sit with them…alleging they already had Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackson or whoever that black pastor was (holy shit, buddy)…then saying having their black pastor with them was like if the court was filled with men in white robes wearing Colonel Sanders masks.
Really?
Not a good argument when your clients are accused of a racist murder.

$7500 for dereliction of duty that killed an entire flight crew and an expensive aircraft?! Colonel Pellerin and the rest of the officers involved should be indentured servants with no pay until they pay off the price of the plane (so for life), and be in prison for the length of time he stole from those flight crew's lives....they should definitely be forced to hand their pension over to their victims and lose their rank if there was such a thing as military justice.
I'm more than a little surprised no one killed that show off in self defense....the next time a pilot takes his bomber to 3', eject him.

10 Songs You've Heard and Don't Know the Name

MilkmanDan says...

A few of those didn't actually ring a bell in terms of having heard them before, and I knew the names of a few that I had heard:

(spoilers, I guess?)
1. I instantly knew that was the William Tell Overture, I would think a lot of people know that one?

2. Know the song, but didn't know the title without seeing it. But I'm sure that I've heard the title (Entry of the Gladiators) before.

3. Didn't know the song (or the title -- Liechtensteiner Polka).

4. Know the song, knew it was Strauss, didn't know it was "Fruhlingsstimmen". Gesundheit. As an aside, the stare plus the eyebrow action in this one is hilariously well-suited to the song.

5. Knew a variant of the song, didn't know it was "The British Grenadiers". Pretty sure I first heard this one as music in the old-school NES game "Pirates" by Sid Meier.

6. Knew the song, knew it was Chopin's "Piano Sonata No. 2 Op. 35", also know that it is commonly referred to as "Marche Funebre" (although that title can be applied to other songs also). Dude also gets a lot of mileage out of the creepy stare at the camera on this one.

7. Don't think I've ever heard this one, didn't know the title (A Dog's Life).

8. Knew the song, knew it was by Strauss, didn't know the title (An Der Scthonen Blauen Donau).

9. Knew the song, knew it was the "Chicken Dance". I'd think that anyone that's ever been to a wedding pretty much has to know this one -- but maybe that's just a midwest US thing?

10. Eventually recognized the song, but not until he got a bit into it. Didn't know the title (Colonel Bogey March). Still think it should 'properly' be titled "Lisa, her teeth are big and green. Lisa, she smells like gasoline."

Canada Air Takeoff - Close Call

Those are Canadair CL-415 water bombers.....

https://aviation-safety.net/wikibase/wiki.php?id=199266

A CL-415 amphibious aircraft sustained damage during a water takeoff.
Two CL-415 were lifting off the surface of a lake when one of the aircraft contacted a mast of a barge with the left hand wing, according to a video posted on YouTube.
The aircraft reportedly returned to land.

For the lieutenant colonel Bernier from the Office Manager communication of the direction of the Sécurité Civile : " The wing of the Fire-fighting plane is damaged, it will be unavailable for several weeks, there were projections on two barges, fortunately without making of wounded person.
They are experimented and confirmed pilots who knew well the stretch of water. They managed to fly up to the base of Nîmes. The pilot and the co-pilot are shocked, they were suspended as a protective measure and are going to be examined by a specialized doctor who has to make sure that they are in capacity to re-fly. "

I've been operational in a war-zone. Shot at twice, and in a Mexican standoff once, but I never fired my own weapon.

Fact is, other developed nations manage just fine (for the most part) when it comes to things like this. It doesn't help that the US has never and probably will never allow any member of the forces to be prosecuted internationally for war crimes.

I know someone who was in Italy many years ago when a US plane decided to buzz underneath the wires of a gondola (the mountain kind, not the Venice kind, obviously). The tail of the plane caught on the wire and 12 people died, including a few children. There was no criminal prosecution for the pilot, crew, or commanding officers. I mean, just look at all the Wikileaks files on war crimes committed by US soldiers, barely any of them received any kind of judicial review (if any at all did, I never heard of them) including indiscriminate killing of random civilians.

Like it or not, that's a part of the US military culture and they worked hard to make things that way. In Vietnam it was estimated that one in a million shots fired from small arms actually HIT an enemy combatant. They learned it was because fewer than one in ten soldiers even TRIED to hit.

On top of that, the pay is so terrible, it's mostly those desperate to lift themselves and their family out of abject poverty that apply for enlisted positions. They are not well-educated and they are certainly not (for the most part) intelligent, hard-working individuals. The US chooses to spend the vast bulk of military spending on technology, rather than people (after all, it's easier to give kickbacks to your political donors that way).

Well, this is the result. A military with no fear of repercussions unless you're one of the poor scapegoats at Abu Ghraib (and if you think they represent even one tenth of the total personnel involved, you're out to lunch) and you're dumb enough to take pictures of yourself, there's pretty much nothing you can do to the 'enemy' that will get you in serious trouble.

Why do you think the Brits insisted on their own zones of Iraq for the second gulf war? In the first one they fought alongside Americans and suffered more casualties from American fire than they did from Iraqi fire. I talked to a Brit armored officer who was in the first gulf war. He went to introduce himself to the colonel of the American unit next to them, the Colonel stared in amazement at the Scorpion light tank and said, "What the hell kind of Bradley is that?" I can guarantee you, every soldier, from Private to the Colonel of my regiment could have identified every armored vehicle on the battlefield.

It's amateur night in Afghanistan, yeehaw!

Unsurprising, really, considering the first Iraq war, 3/4ths of the American casualties were "friendly" (American) fire.

I talked with some Brit soldiers not long after they came back from Iraq #1, they said their Colonel went to liaise with his American counterpart in a Scorpion light tank. The American Colonel stared at their vehicle in amazement, "What the hell kind of Bradley is that?"

The Search for General Tso (2015) Trailer

AeroMechanical says...

I always believed he was a Formosan general in the early Cold War years, respected by mid 20th century Chinese immigrants for fighting against the communists in the Chinese Civil War. This is probably another one of the myths I've lived my life with because I randomly asked my dad a question and, not knowing, he just made up an answer.

Of course, now that I think about it, Daldain surely nailed it with the relationship to The Colonel, rather like Admiral Nelson's rum is to Captain Morgan's.
