Not sure how you plan to make a case that egg wielding left wing extremists are the real pressing danger, but I'm all ears.

In 2018, every single terroristic attacker in the U.S. had ties to right wing extremist organizations, although one had converted to Islamic extremism before attacking that doesn't mean (and there's little evidence that) they abandoned their right wing politics or philosophy.

Try to absorb that information instead of just being defensive and ignoring it....please.

After I read "The Perfect Storm", I sort of wondered how the Coast Guard feels about rescuing people who have rather imperfectly exercised their judgement and gotten themselves into a pretty bad situation. Of course, in that book, a chopper goes down trying to rescue a not very clever sailboat owner who has set sail into the face of the storm (they oddly survive). And I guess the answer is: the rescue crews just don't think about it that way at all. They are there to rescue people; so they just try. It might sort of drive me crazy.

He's got Sy Hersh on this time, and Hersh had a lot to say about "Putin-did-it", including this bit:

One time they said 17 agencies all agreed. Oh really? The Coast Guard and the Air Force — they all agreed on it? And it was outrageous and nobody did that story. An assessment is simply an opinion. I don't dispute racism exists, and its effects are amplified by power and reach. There is a difference between quality and quantity when it comes to racism. Western racism seems of a low quality, but it generates a high quantity due to pragmatic reasons. Strangely, perhaps, I find this less reprehensible than high quality of racism that is mitigated by distance or political clout. That's definitely a bias I have.

EDIT:
I think the above video and my response to it demonstrate some of the problems in that stance. Akala confidently lists a collection of events that he clearly considers egregious. A subset of those I've addressed in my criticism, to varying extents. If detecting racism in our culture is disagreeing about how effective a foreign navy should be in it's coast guard duties on a foreign shore, perhaps we're disappearing down the rabbit hole. If detecting racism in our culture means finding a sub 1% discrepancy in prison death rates in a small sample size, then it could be we're missing the forest for the trees.
It isn't to say that there aren't still problems in western culture, but we are teaching ourselves to cry wolf constantly, and we know where that leads.

and as a way of reminder for any who might care of my own particular line of reasoning on the matter of the police:

All cops will at some time in their career, witness or commit a felony (as witness, by a member of their fraternity or a citizen) being committed and fail to report the same according to law, hence, all cops are felons. Simple approach to logic really, takes no long-winded explanation to render it so in any reasonable person's mind.

What newtboy speaks above being true and false and meaningless on points, however, ALL cops are cops, there is no good or bad when referencing law enforcement 2000+. The good ones use the time spent in that profession to further their reputation and credentials for what it is to have been a cop and bail the fuck out...move the fuck on in their quest for righteous livelihood....

The actual SHIT cops (and ALL prison system employees unless by virtue of some humanitarian position they actually reform or assist anyone), border patrol, coast guard, DEA, DHS, ICE, etc etc.) stay in for the duration, because that bullshit is all they are.
