Capsaicin ---from no less than Cook's Illustrated
"Milk had only a slight impact. What worked on both the skin and the mouth? Hydrogen peroxide.
It turns out that peroxide reacts with capsaicin molecules, changing their structure and rendering them incapable of bonding with our receptors. Peroxide works even better in the presence of a base like baking soda:
We found that a solution of 1/8 teaspoon of baking soda, 1 tablespoon of water, and 1 tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide could be used to wash the affected area or as a mouthwash (swish vigorously for 30 seconds) to tone down a chile’s stinging burn to a mild warmth. (Toothpaste containing peroxide and baking soda is a somewhat less effective remedy.) Always keep peroxide, baking soda, and toothpaste away from your eyes."
Joe Rogan Talks Police Reform w/ Andrew Schulz
Can we have the Bob that passed English 1 back please? This one is broken....and this one's broken English sounds distinctly Spanish, not Russian.
Most times the people being shot while unarmed were facing....nothing. Maybe a warning if the cop was dumb enough to warn them over non crimes like 5mph UNDER the limit. The harassment wouldn't end, the false charges would just be all felonies.
Oh...suddenly you're a liberal, advocating decriminalization of all drugs. This is definitely not our normal Bobknight33. You guys need to coordinate better, you really blew the pooch this time. (Nasty)
It bears noting that the representatives you've chosen disagree 100%, and think that kilo of coke should be a decade or more in prison, 40 years if you mix it with baking soda (crack)....and that gram of pot should be jail time.
Now, the 6 months plan where a gram of pot or kilo of cocaine are the same, forfeit all your rights and those of anyone near you (without their knowledge that their rights are now gone) for 6 months, then definitely extended indefinitely...That's the kind of insanely poorly thought out plan I expect from the Bobknight33 group....the kind where the racist abusers are just given MORE leeway to violate your rights, and one false accusation by them makes you a non citizen for life. Sure, no chance that would be abused.
BTW, Roberto, in democratic states, non violent criminals were already released and new convicts usually don't see prison thanks to Covid and real leaders. Not the case in Texas, Georgia, and Florida I'm guessing.
The social contract is obey cops when asked. When this does not occur things escalate. Sadly both sides has amp up over the decades. Now both sides have lost control, respect and have distrust for each other.
Don't need to banning police dept just publicly change with both sides agreeing.
I propose, in big broad strokes.
No one goes to jail unless a serious crime murder, armed robbery or a warrant is out on you.
IF pulled over, be cool, comply, knowing nothing will result in arrest/ jail.
If you have a dime bag, kilo coke, etc, I don't care, they take it and fine you the value also. Also the right to gather you address and those with you. Then because e of your offense the PD ( where ever you live or moved to) has a 6 month right to knock and cursory search of your residence ( and those with you). Same deal they find, take anything illegal and fine of equivalent value. LB of weed, Kilo of coke I don't care. Take and fine. Guns take and if used in crime then warrant for arrest. Finding stuff allows cops to stop by again with in 6 months and now have right for thorough search. Same deal search, take and fine. If 3rd search occurs and find stuff then criminal charges filed if heavy drugs or amounts found.
With this in place no would / should put up a fight. Cops not to make arrest, populate jails or f over people with high court costs.
This should help change bad behavior, let minor crap slide, and bad dudes land in jail fair and squarely.
Skunk Sprays Inquisitive Bear
That bear is gonna need some hydrogen peroxide, baking soda, and dishwashing liquid. Tomato sauce does nothing.
Explosive Oil Fire at 2500fps - The Slow Mo Guys
BAKING SODA!
Water sinks in oil, then flashes to steam, violently displacing the oil, oil that's already near or beyond the vaporization temperature. The hot oil, flying in all directions in tiny droplets, vaporizes, and you then have a small fuel air bomb. Great if you want to be hairless, but otherwise a bad bad thing, especially indoors. See above about burn units.
Baking soda floats on the oil making a film that stops it from reacting with oxygen, and stops the fire fast. It works for most fires if you have enough to smother it.
Scary if you understand the image of a person pouring a pot full of water onto a flaming stove top oil fire (french fries, fried chicken, etc).
Snuff the fire out by throwing a lid on the pan.
Use an aerosol extinguisher.
Use a "K" class grease extinguisher, or Halon.
Don't throw water.
Burn units are sad, sad places.

Someone at work brought these chocolate chip cookies in today. I asked her to email me the recipe since they were really good. So here you go...
Chocolate Chip Cookies
(makes 6 dozen cookies)
4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons baking soda
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 cups butter, softened
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
2 (3.4 ounce) packages instant vanilla pudding mix
4 eggs
2 tablespoons vanilla extract
4 cups semisweet chocolate chips
2 cups chopped walnuts (optional)
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Sift together the flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt, then set aside.
2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter, brown sugar, and white sugar. Beat in the instant pudding mix powder until blended. Stir in the eggs and vanilla. Blend in the flour mixture. Finally, stir in the chocolate chips and nuts. Drop cookies by rounded spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets covered in parchment paper. Refrigerate dough between batches so the dough doesn't become too soft before baking.
3. Bake for approximately 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven. Could be more or less depending on your oven. Edges should be golden brown.

Made these last night-I call em:
Chewy Sugar Cookies (monster version)
2 3/4 cups flour (sifted with:)
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp baking powder
I cup (2 sticks) salted, butter (softened)
1 1/2 cups whole cane sugar
1 egg
1tsp (or to taste) vanilla extract
3-6 tbsp buttermilk
some ground cinnamon, and some more sugar for later
sift dry ingredients into bowl
in a separate bowl, cream sugar, extract, egg, and a small glug of buttermilk until creamy
mix wet and dry ingredients and add just enough extra buttermilk to make the mix slightly sticky but not wet (or, the opposite of how you like your women)
NOW comes the monster part:
Add to dough, some pure grated coconut (unsweetened), dried cranberries, and fresh almonds that have been hit with the coffee grinder to chop and powder a bit)
Place the dough in the freezer while you preheat the oven to 375°F
on an un-greased cookie sheet, place small dollops of dough that has been rolled in some of the coconut/almond mix you set aside extra
on top of each dollop that you flatten slightly with a fork, brush-on some buttermilk on each dough-glob, then sprinkle with a sugar and a ground cinnamon mix
Bake for 8-10 minutes on second-to-top oven rack
Real panty-droppers these, bet ya can't eat just five
SODA / POP / COKE (Dialect Map of the USA)
I think of soda because the first thing I associate with that word is soda water, which I guess is kind of the origin of soda anyhow. But if you're more chemistry oriented I could see someone coming up with a different image, baking soda would probably be next on my list after soda water.
SODA / POP / COKE (Dialect Map of the USA)
To me Soda sounds wrong and doesn't make sense. I immediately think of Baking soda or something similar

Interview With Woman Who Had Cup Of Acid Thrown In Her Face
>> ^Deano:
When you say "flush" what does that mean? Dab with a wet towel or spray water in large quantities at the face?
I think I would be useful in this situation given as you state that water isn't always the most appropriate first treatment.
>> ^NordlichReiter:
Man, this seems to happen more and more. Do I need to learn how to deal with this as a potential first responder?

Have someone call 911 and you call National Poison Control Hotline (1-800-222-1222) for assistance identifying the type of chemical you are dealing with.
If acid is in the eyes rinse with low pressure water, large amounts of water. If there is acid on the eyes, it's to late to worry about what will happen when the water contacts the chemical at least that is my take on the whole affair. Remember I'm not a lawyer or a professional emergency medical responder but at any given moment anyone can become a first responder. The best thing you can do is keep the victim under as much control as possible so as not to cause anymore damage.
When they say flush they mean to run water over the affected area. Like washing your hands. Spraying large amounts of water may not be the best choice.
Anything in the eyes should be low pressure. Usually the eye washing stations are just upturned shower heads. Also, you have to hold your eye(s) open which is really hard to do.
