Richard Crist, James Gordon and Leslie Wallace are in custody for quote "violating federal laws."
These three MAGA officials are just the latest in a LONG LONG line of MAGA officials and candidates caught stealing ballots, filling them out for MAGgots, and submitting them as votes.
The arrests come after two other county republican leaders pleaded guilty to election fraud, Republican election commissioner Jason Schofield and Troy City Council woman Kimberly Ashe-McPherson. Both resigned from their posts and admitted to absentee ballot fraud.

In 2021, New York State Attorney General Letitia James got involved when the Rensselaer County Board of Elections decided not to put a voting site in Troy, a minority community. She won.

HEY! I think that's the vehicle from the SimpliSafe video!

No! Really! Was reading about this. Ironically it ended up in an Ash tree. Right next to a cemetery.

Guess what the name of the nearest headstone said?

Ralph Kramden.

No. Really.

Trust me.

Tonga Eruption Causes Tsunamis all around the Pacific

Might be a tiny bit of good news on the warming front, but what about the sulfuric "pollution" effect of the areas the ashes reache? Vegetation, waterways, etc. I'm not just thinking about the effects on human, but on the living environment of animals.

The Hunga Tonga undersea volcanic eruption was the largest on earth over the last 30 years, according to Research Physical Scientist Brian Brettschneider with the National Weather Service Alaska region.

Brettschneider said that the ash created by the eruption will likely cause a slight cooling effect on the climate, though not as dramatic as short-term climate changes from past volcanic eruptions. In 1815, the climate impacts caused by the Mount Tambora volcanic eruption caused what was called “the year without a summer.”

“What we’re seeing so far is a fairly minor amount of climate altering stratospheric sulfur particles have been detected so far,” Brettschneider said. “A pretty small amount relative to the size of the eruption, so kind of our first initial best guess is that there is going to be a pretty minor climate impact over the next few years.”

Of course, that can only account for the estimates of the blast so far, not any future eruptions that may or may not happen.
Estimates say the Hunga Tonga eruption was equivalent to 2% of the pressure released in the Krakatoa eruption for comparison.

Has anyone heard/read if and how the eruption may impact global temperatures over the next few years? Curious what the climate scientist are predicting, but maybe to soon to know anything.

What Happens If Yellowstone Blows Up Tomorrow?

newtboy says...

Crap. I wanted to like this video.
Unfortunately this starts with bad information and gets worse...claiming Yellowstone is the largest super volcano....but Yellowstone's biggest eruption was 2,800 km3 almost 9000000 years ago.... Toba in Sumatra erupted 13,200 km3 only 75000 years ago. The most recent Yellowstone eruption was around 640000 years ago and only 1000km3.
Even Taupo ejected 1170km3 in that last super eruption, far more than Yellowstone's most recent.

Where did they get the idea that an ash cloud would spread in every direction evenly?! It's just wrong. The ash cloud would be blown East by upper atmospheric winds...eventually circling the globe but not expanding to the West very far....just like previous eruptions did.

They mention America going abroad to get food in such an event, then go on to mention global dimming, temperature drops, and sulfur contamination damaging crops...but don't put the two together. In such an event, no country on earth could feed it's own population, much less have a surplus to sell to the worst hit area, America. In 1815, the year without a summer caused world wide famine, epidemics, and a halt to shipping because winter ice packs remained through the summer in many places, and crop failures and epidemics continued for years afterwards. That eruption was only 160–213km3 and there were under 1 billion people to feed on the planet.
A large Yellowstone eruption would be 4-10 times that size, with effects being worse and lasting longer, and there are around 8 times as many mouths to feed.
The largest eruption we know of was nearly 100 times the size of Tambora in 1815....and wasn't Yellowstone.

Edit: let's not forget the disruption to airlines for possibly years and interference with satellite signals like we've never experienced....and what does that sulphur do to an already acidic ocean?

I want to know his sources, because they don't jibe with historical records.

CITATION FUCKING NEEDED BOB

I get it, you and your overlord have really hurt feelings over the fact that 8 MILLION more people wanted Biden in charge. That's not STEALING, that's WINNING. It isn't something Trump has ever actually done legitimately, so I can understand how he wouldn't recognize what that looks like.

There was no "steal" on the part of Biden or the Dems, no matter how loudly Trump whines about it. Donald and his goonsquad are attempting an actual, honest to goodness violent overthrow of the duly elected government of the US. That IS NOT ok. It isn't funny, it isn't cute. It isn't "protesting" anything to break into the US Capitol. It isn't bringing on liberal tears, it's tearing down the structures that have allowed this society to flourish. It's setting fire to the Constitution and pissing on the ashes.

If there's fraud, show the evidence. Don't bitch that they tried but judges said no standing - a lack of standing means there was no injured party. If there had been actual evidence of actual fraud, then there would be injured parties they could bring into court who would have standing. No one has standing though, because there's no evidence, because it was a good clean election and Trump fucking lost. Stop supporting the literal insurrection, and welcome to a few years of the grown-ups who listen to experts trying to steer the ship to safety before the chucklefucks inevitably seize the wheel again.

Ashli (who comes up with these names?), poor soul, decided to storm a government building guarded by armed security. EIA? Too early?

Life is not a video game.

Crazed people marching on and storming the Capitol, sent by the President of the US of A.

That would be one unrealistic video game until this week.

Also my estimate of how many people would (should?) get shot, if exactly this were to happen, would have been a lot higher just a few days ago.

Sci-Fi story from Many Worlds interpr. of Quantum Mechanics

BSR says...

Grief can be horrifying. It can be torture. It can tear you up and shatter all the pieces of the world you spent building over the years. The world that's in your head.

Without love you would have never been able to reach this place nor would you want to.

But without this place you could never discover the secrets of who and what you really are.

Alone.

That is when you hear the music for the very first time. That's when it all makes sense. Suddenly you realize, you're not alone in being alone.

The ashes of your broken heart are swept away and you are you gifted with a new heart. A new world. A new start. A new power. A level up.

Grief. Brought to you by love, for love. You are the music and the music is you.

Don't fear the reaper. Don't be afraid to love. It's all been meant for you.
