The whole capitalism versus socialism thing is so anticlimactic because you'd imagine any pattern in existence has the potential to provide a service; and in order to find the most optimal setup, you'd need a combination of all types of ideas. You don't discredit gravitational force because you like electromagnetic force better, citing the horrors which gravity has wrought upon mankind.

There's always going to be some form of capitalism. Want all the latest toys, bigger house, luxury car, yeah you're going to have to have a high paying job for stuff like that.

It will take a long time, but people will eventually draw some lines and decide that certain things are immoral to make profit off of or at the very least regulate such things heavily to keep greed in check.

We have to find a better mix of capitalism and socialism.

Are you, or will you be, a parent? (User Poll by xxovercastxx)

I had always figured, "Sure, I suppose I'll have kids some day." My wife didn't really dig the idea of kids, so I figured, "Sure, we'll be fine just enjoying ourselves for the rest of our days," because we always loved the idea of seeing the world and kids would just get in the way, we thought.

After returning from our first disappointingly anticlimactic trip to Europe, I started feeling, "Wow, is that all there is to life? There has to be more." Generally I started looking forward to my deathbed and knowing I'd look back regretting that I never experienced fatherhood. The seed was planted a month later.

My second son is on the way and due 7 weeks from today, and my first son is now 20 months old. It's just not possible to completely explain to someone else how incredible and fulfilling it is, but it has already been the experience of a lifetime, and I wish I'd gotten started when I was younger. Now I've decided I'm too close to 40 to have any more, otherwise I'd have shot for a quad of small fries.

Parenthood isn't for everyone, so I don't wish it upon anyone, especially not self-centered/egocentric people who would just bring more undesirable dipshits into the world.

@ant Might want to find room in the tags for "anticlimactic". I suggest deleting "twilight" if you need to make room. In fact, let's just always assume that I want twilight deleted from everywhere. Thanks.

True Grit - 2nd Trailer

Got high hopes for this, but i worry. I have to agree with what someone said earlier - no country for old men was the most trite, anticlimactic, self indulgent waste of 3 hours i've ever had the misfortune to sit through. I'm sure opinion on that film is split right down the middle.

Looks like there might be some sort of climax/resolution to this though, the inclusion of which - alone - would have made no country for old men a good film.

Dammit, I upvoted too soon. Seriously anticlimactic ending. Watching Michael Cera act like a badass for a few seconds wasn't nearly as cool as seeing him back up that talk with being a badass in some ridiculously exaggerated fight scene, or do SOMETHING!
