Jar Jar's New voice for Star wars blu Ray- Better or worse?
If Jar Jar could have been done with an incomprehensible language with subtitles then it might have been consistant with the rest of the original star wars films--but consistency wasn't what Georgey was going for. As it stands I still haven't watched the Star Wars Episode Podracer: The CG/Greenscreen Strikes Back! (And I never intend to*.)
*I'm running on the assumption that if you've seen Weird Al's American Pie cover video, and a few other random internet clips, you don't need to sit through episode 1.

Hilarious dog food commercial
Pretty sure that's a fake commercial from the old SCTV (Second City TV) sketch show that was around in the 80's. The cheese-ball hipster dude looks an AWFUL lot like comedian Eugene Levy (the dad from "American Pie"), who was one of the stars of SCTV.
Don McLean - Vincent (live 1972)
I wish I could refer to my father's record collection. In fact I was between classes and relaxing in the second floor lounge of the student union building when DAL radio played this album (American Pie) in its entirety the day it was released. I bought it the same afternoon and still have it. Its so rare to find an album where you like everything on it. This song in particular was so well written , so well crafted that the first time I heard it I felt like I could see in my mind's eye the color of sound.

His songs loom so large in my childhood... my father had a best of lp of his which I played a lot... many people only know his American Pie. But he has many, many brilliantly written songs.
Great stuff.
High voltage capacitor bank versus Watermelon

Notice the holes are pre-drilled. Do you think they pumped that melon full of something combustible? I guess they are pretty wet inside (I've never American Pie'd one or anything.)
I'd take the guess that such a large amount of direct current caused the water in the watermelon to decompose rapidly to hydrogen and oxygen. Both would expand rapidly, being partial cause to the explosion as pressure inside increased. Additionally, the combination of gases is highly combustible, and any spark generated between the electrodes would be enough to cause them to ignite, causing an additional pressure increase and explosion.
I think the electricity made it explode.
