Nice of you to say. I’ll take “attack newt” any day.

I have a severe allergy to bullshit, so it’s mainly in my own self interest to shovel it out as much as possible….although I never dreamed it might become so much work. Some days I feel like Hercules tasked to clean King Augeas’ stables without the benefit of the strength to redirect rivers.

I would love to grab a pint with you and talk some shit, even though I don’t drink much. The same offer extends to you if you are ever in Northern California.

Hey, newt. I think this so often, but say it so rarely... thank you for your constant refuting of bullshit here. I often (internally) refer to you as The Sift's own attack-newt, and if you ever find yourself in Ireland I'd be honoured to get you a pint and talk shite with you for hours on end.

As you like to say over there, thank you for your service.

i don't think that the visual hallucinations are a good comparison to what it can be like to be in an area where one can't concentrate like that.

In the middle of typing this I got distracted and opened up the Katydid eats a wart video that's trending here at the moment. in the middle of typing THAT two of my neighbors started mowing the lawn at the same time and my wife has all the windows open so I know what my allergies are going to do and i don't want to walk around with a headache all day so I better close them should I do it now or whehn i get don....

what was I saying?

LMFAHS!!!
Still no answer?
Still can’t say who she slept with to advance to the second highest elected position in the land besides her husband, who’s not in politics, but you still say she’s a whore who could only sleep her way up because she’s a woman….but you don’t think you’re sexist!?! ROTFLMFAHS,! You utter moron, what do you think “sexist” means?

Elected Attorney General twice, Senator once before being elected VP. How many public offices did Trump hold before president? How many women did he sleep with while married? How many women did he rape? How many children age 13? The answer to three of these questions is not zero.

Compared to your messiah’s abysmal record of failed businesses, various crimes, racism, sexism, rape, theft, pedophilia, tax evasion, bank frauds, and an allergy to the truth and fact, (and now an aversion to democracy) she’s insanely over qualified to be president or VP. Enjoy, she’ll probably be in the whitehouse for the rest of your life.

There isn’t a Republican in office that is elected official material. They’re all anti American, anti democracy terrorists that should be shot in the face as enemies of the state who give aid and comfort to other enemies of America constantly. You know it well, comrade.

I’m guessing we haven’t heard from you for a week because both anonymous and the American cyber warfare division have attacked Putin’s troll farm and you can’t get online.
Hope you like borscht….it’s all there will be left for you.

Edit: lemme guess, Jackson (3 times confirmed by a bipartisan congress) is also unqualified and slept her way to the top of the judicial branch, right? You don’t know how, or with who, but you just know it’s true (because a black woman could never accomplish what she has)….but not because you’re a racist sexist troll….you say that for some other reason you just can’t articulate.
But Barrett, with zero judicial experience before Trump nominated her and obvious overt religious bias that she has let dictate her decisions despite saying she never would, you had no problem with her, right?

racist sexist???

You making her color is racist.

Sexist. I think not.
She is a political whore. Slept with who ever to get her power.

She is not VP material by any measure. You know it .

You shoulda been there w me today when I helped shoulder an otherwise healthy 17 year old into a wheelchair because "i can...tbreee... breaathe..."

I can't say anything about his medical conditions if he had any, but if there were any - i didn't have any warning of them. And we keep very accurate records of stuff like that for situations just like this.

I can say i didn't have any warning on my list for any asthma, allergy, etc. typically, that means they are not present.

Trump Jr High As A Kite Rambling Nonsense

luxintenebris jokingly says...

that's the rub.

want to be fair, and the clip is suspect, but his eyes are glassy with redness, and he is rambling.

but is it...allergies (to the truth), relationship (w/that banshee), problems [w/divorce, living w/his sir name, having a non-father] mixed w/booze?

it's a push anyway.

most of the folks that do the orange orge orgies give two humps about the company they keep. gaetz being a pedo/druggie/thief - nix. mtg being useless/fraud/sharp as a sack of wet mice- notta. so it goes.

Happy to judge him on all the other batshit crazy stuff he's said though.

Why you can't compare Covid-19 vaccines

ant says...

Got my first dose from Moderna on green St. Patrick's Day. Dang, it gave me a hang over the next day with pain, swollen light red shot area, and tiredness though. I was doing OK until hump day's night. I couldn't sleep well and much too. No fever, vomits, rashes, etc. though. My daily all day allergies actually calmed down for over a day. I'm not looking forward to #2 next month after #1. No J&J since it was very hard to get due to its manufacturing problems from what I read online. I am not going to wait until next month for it.

Homeopathy Explained – Gentle Healing or Reckless Fraud?

entr0py says...

Is there some example of where "treat like with like" is useful and insightful? I mean, all I can think of is immunotherapy for allergies.

notarobot said:

There are some core philosophies withing homeopathy that have some merit for some cases (e.g. treat like from like, stop unhealthy activities to heal...) but it is mostly practiced and promoted by charlatans.

Most of the good ideas that homeopathy came up with were adopted by mainstream medicine anyway.

Woman Dragged Off Of Southwest Flight For Allergies

CrushBug says...

This is a flat out weird situation. The service animal cannot leave and there is always a good chance you would encounter one out in public.

The allergy shot probably wouldn't be an epi pen. That is for dire emergencies and if she had that she would be carrying it. It is most likely some other kind of injectable antihistamine. My wife and I have mild allergies and carry pills for when we travel.

On the other hand, I understand her panic as she is being separated from her father who is having surgery. That would sure a hell make me not think clearly.

Woman Dragged Off Of Southwest Flight For Allergies

newtboy says...

I don't know if I would go that far, but she sure made it far worse.

I fixed the description....again....that was from another report (the same one that claimed they used guns)...I should have fixed it with the gun comment though. My bad.

I've read a few reports that the "service dog" was an emotional support dog. Without certification, training, and a vest it's just a pet in my eyes, but I'm not sure if it had those. They implied it didn't, but implications are meaningless, I admit. Even with them, it's still a pet though, isn't it?

Edit: I note in the article, they said they offered to have her deplane and get the allergy shot (epi pen?), but they slyly don't mention that they would not have allowed her back on under any circumstances. Shot or no, it's the policy to not let her fly with animals on board if she's said she's allergic. They tried to trick her, then tried to pretend they offered a solution.

eric3579 said:

If you read the article i linked it seems pretty clear this is all on her. Also i didn't hear the attendants asking the officers to stop (as stated in description) and from the article one of the dogs was a service dog.

Woman Dragged Off Of Southwest Flight For Allergies

newtboy says...

The most insane part of this is Southwest (and other airlines) say that, if you have an allergy (that's life threatening), even if you have medication and documentation, you'll be removed and offered a later flight (assuming there's no pets on it) but the pets will always be allowed to travel. That's unticketed pets, not just service animals, get preference.
Long and short...if you have pet allergies, don't try to fly...or if you fly, don't let them know.

People aren't allergic to cat hair itself, the reaction comes from their saliva. Cat allergies can be reduced a lot if you are brave enough to bathe kitteh regularly.

How a Storm Triggered a City-Wide Asthma Attack

newtboy says...

I think this is a normal occurrence in Texas in the early summer when grass and tree pollen (especially mesquite, it puts out visible clouds of pollen) are thick and thunderstorms happen almost daily. I had a horrible time with allergies growing up in Houston.

Neil deGrasse Tyson - Science in America

dag says...

Comment hidden because you are ignoring dag. (show it anyway)

I love science.

Also good to remember that it's corruptible too. Despotic leaders get dissidents declared mentally ill.

Going farther back a kind of science brought us eugenics.

Science is often a victim of orthodoxy. Bad science becomes "common sense" way too easily. Just off the top of my head, telling parents not to feed their babies peanuts may have caused thousands of cases of peanut allergies. https://globenewswire.com/news-release/2017/04/14/960387/0/en/Pulling-the-Plug-on-Peanut-Allergy.html
