So many references in here. I usually hate that kind of pandering, but still needed to point out:

TMNT comic is possibly anachronistic

This video is so pandering and silly, but the song is damn complex. Childs first feelings of love and sexuality combined with the witnessing of violence and murder. Now that I type that, it probably defines far more modern experiences than I realize.

How is that not Luke in there with the robotic hand touching R2D2?

Ah, videosift seems to like to copy content and not let the owners get credit for it. That's kinda lame, and violates YouTubes terms of service. Search for working Lego R2D2 to find his blog and stuff.

Reminds me of those R2D2-like bots that would roll around some colleges, trade-shows and other institutions that just featured a voice modulator/remote speaker to make it sound "robotic". I guess that's some kind of progress?

Does not George Lucas take great pains to make R2D2 and C3PO positive likeable characters and as such are they not obviously self aware and not just the sum of clever programming. When it comes to the morality of destroying (read killing) such entities, clearly Lucas never watched Blade Runner.
