Attention American Left, you're 30% of the population, TOPS. These actors can choose to be wards of the State, I'll take my chances with dangerous freedom.

Liberals GIVE freedoms.

Rightists TAKE freedoms.

That's how it's always been. That's how it will always be.

Vote Freedom -- Vote Liberal.

I Remember and I'm Not Voting Republican

He's got a point about the tags. At least include something about a train as to at least slightly ward off potential dupes.

If I were submitting this as a video, I wouldn't think to search for "Wait" for a dupe check.

Yeah! So we should elect people who will increase the income gap by lobbying for tax cuts for the rich individuals and the even richer businesses! "Trickle down" baby!
Hold on, I have to help Milton Friedman find his pants so he can go back to the psycho ward.

No, I never said the fix was to vote Republican, please read more carefully, I said they were both corrupt - the fix is to stop the flow of cash from business to politician - full stop.

Agreed, over.

Interesting points, but saying how bad $170k is then for Nick to come on and say he's spent 3 times that in a regular campaign run up, and for Rachel to not bat an eyelid - come on...
The Dem's are just as corrupt as the Republicans, look what happened when they had senate majority.... nothing.

Yeah! So we should elect people who will increase the income gap by lobbying for tax cuts for the rich individuals and the even richer businesses! "Trickle down" baby!

BBC Panorama - Secrets of Scientology

When I asked for evidence I wasn't asking for a link to some website.

The examples on the website I gave you are connected to real world court cases against the CoS. You don't get to wish them away be refusing to recognize their existence.

It's just something I'm concerned with while I study actual genocides and actual torment of people making the clothes that you're wearing right now. That's not a concern for you...

Wrong.

Genocides abroad are my concern. I have family members that've risked their lives overseas to prevent genocides abroad. I have friends in my community who are in my community for the express purpose of escaping those genocides abroad. You can stop your ludicrous line of superiority and guilt right there, thank you very much.

yet some people...voluntarily choosing to not see their families (if it was forced you could call the cops) isn't a concern for me when placed against the backdrop of actual horror.

I understood that the first time you said it, and each time you've repeated it. Let me try and reject it more clearly for you:
Domestic problems are not an excuse to ignore foreign problems.
Foreign problems are not an excuse to ignore domestic problems.
Huge problems are not an excuse to ignore smaller problems.
Smaller problems are not an excuse to ignore larger problems.

Scientology IS a problem, and it's not just a small one. Just because genocides are a bigger problem, doesn't change the fact that Scientology is still a problem.

Scientology is a big problem. Your repeated refusal to recognize that is rightly and justifiably angering people who know and may even have personally experienced the problem.

You might as well go down to the cancer ward and tell all the children they don't really have serious problems. There are African orphans with HIV unlikely to live long enough to die from AIDS after all. If you do that and everyone gets mad at you, I'm sorry, but you do NOT get to throw up your hands say you did nothing wrong.

There is no sophistry here. None.
Whittle laid out the argument perfectly, starting with historical precedents and touching on the long list of conflicts caused by muslims right up till today. Add to the timeline the noncoincident fading of Europe.
No honest seeker looking to replace Western Civilization with something better would choose defective and brutal islam, with its backa$$wards sharia law and failure to produce anything of material or intellectual value.
If there's anything Whittle said that's patently false, do tell.

then you have no idea the meaning of sophistry:
http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/sophistry
the argument does not have to be based in lies..in fact..an argument based in sophism tends be true but it is a cleverly disguised manipulation.many times avoiding certain pertinent facts or cherry picking others to promote a particular ideology.

mr whittles argument would make sense to someone not armed with historical knowledge or someone bursting with nationalistic pride and therefore easily manipulated to adopt mr whittles argument believing it a sound argument.

until they meet me that is.

dont be so quick to swallow the words of others QM.
while mr whittle does make some salient points his argument is pure sophism.
because he totally IGNORES massive amounts of historical data and instead speaks to the most fearful and easily swayed and i find that deplorable.

Well, if we're honest: pr0n is not the issue here. Most folks have some, many folks don't mind others knowing about it. Infact, not even two months ago, my neighbour consulted me on a copyright infringement claim he received concerning gay fetish porn. How about them apples ...

Besides, we introduced the concept of a wank-drive (ext HD + TrueCrypt) for a reason.

No, the issue in my opinion is browser history + bookmarks. If someone were to sift through all our bookmarks and our recent browser history, someone who doesn't understand the unique character of the internet, some of us would be in the psych ward and on a terrorist watchlist quicker than you can say buttplug. You know what an hour of bash or 4chan does to an "unspoiled" person, imagine what a shitstorm a best-of collection would cause.

That reminds me: back around '01, a friend of mine discovered the magic of rotten.com and ratemypoo.com in my Netscape history ... she didn't talk to me for a month. Good times.
