The first one in Utah was a covert art installation (imo) which was installed sometime in 2016 (satellite images)* without discovery until now. I'd guess the one in SLO is also a copy cat. Seems they are not trying vary hard to hide the recent ones.

I love this story. I have previously followed the rise through the ranks of the new AFC Wimbledon without being aware of John Green's involvement. But to add to the story, The Milton Keynes Dons (the old AFC Wimbledon) are being relegated to League One next year while the new AFC Wimbledon has qualified for a playoff for the last promotional spot in League Two. So next year they may be playing in the same league.

While your points are well made, I don't think John Green thinks that the US is not to blame. No more nor less than the Gulf states, who are just if not more wealthy than all the ME put together yet have done nothing, with the problem right at their doorstep.

John is kinda right in that yeah, real life Batman would be a complete asshole and utterly pointless.

However, John Green wrote The Fault In Our Stars which gives everyone a one time only "You wrote The Fault In Our Stars and are therefore Wrong" card.

I choose to play that now, because Batman is Fucking Awesome(tm).
