The Official Roast For thesnipe (and tossed salad bar) (Parody Talk Post)
Snipe, you're lucky I'm not your mother. Before I kicked your ass out of the basement and out the door to get on with adulthood, I'd take some shears to that mop you call hair. (your real hair in your pics, not your sift mullet)
Along with that hair, what's that thing you're growing on your bottom lip? I swear it looks like someone gave you a Chris Cornell Starter Kit left over from 1993. Grunge has long gone, hon.
And smile for a damn picture sometime!
(sorry I'm late.. again)
Pink Floyd-Let There Be More Light - 1968
>> ^rottenseed:
wow...
very "grunge-adelic".
This must be right before they decided not to play with Syd any longer.
Actually it would have been right after Syd split. That's David Gilmour singing and playing the guitar.

What's with the host chill'n on stage with them?
Does he think that snapping makes him part of the band?
I got a kick out of that too.

Let's keep jersey out of this...just like Jersey surely keeps him out of its local nightclubs. Seriously, the hair, is a step up from the traditional guido "steez" indicative of the natives. I don't know if I can roast thesnipe, anything I would say that comes as obvious to me is sad. It'd be like making fun of a retarded child.
That beings said, I do make fun of retarded children, so why the hell not thesnipe. I mean he brings it upon himself. He knows damn well what that rat's nest awkwardly draped over his head looks like. Although, I do appreciate the look he's going for. I mean, you've GOT to give it the guy. He's stickin' firm to his "grunge" roots. And he's a smart man, the style WILL come back eventually. And until then, he'll continue to like the "outdoors"...because when he's hiking in the secluded woods looking like that, the emotion he inspires in others is fear rather than laughter.

The Official Roast of dotdude! (Parody Talk Post)
Painting in New Orleans? Talk about putting lipstick on a pig! But isn't that just like someone from Nawlins? It figures that this bourgeois, cappuccino grunge, "I'm so relevant," artist would live in New Orleans. It's the home of fine whine. Oh, they got their noses in the air and pinkies stuck out, but that's just to keep away from the stench of the rotting corpses they bury ABOVE GROUND and to let you know that they always have their hand out for your spare change. In fact, all their plans in that city start with someone else's money.
Oh, Dotdude might be a painter, but he's really practiced in the art of how to separate you from your cash. Home tours, dot art, Bourbon Street bar hopping, transvestite window standing, drawing caricatures of tourists near the Cafe du Monde . . . what a life. Hang around here Dot . . . maybe some real class will rub off on you. Of course if you ever did get that close we'd have to go disinfect.
Clerks - Randall orders Happy Scrappy Hero Pup
Would you like be making fuck... BERZERKER!!
Watching this movie for the first time was a life changing moment. Long live the Gen X grunge slacker. Ah, better times...
Soundgarden - "Burden In My Hand"
"Blow Up The Outside World" is also a great song off this album. I think they stuck it out for as long as they could. Audioslave's got a few good tracks. And Superunknown is still a highly listenable album after all these years. I think it's hard to keep grunge after grunge is no longer grungey, but mainstream.
Soundgarden - "Burden In My Hand"
soundgarden is one of the best grunge bands, and this song is awesome
Toadies - Possum Kingdom
Drat! I wish I had posted this video! But then I never would have wrote a description even half as funny as yours.
It's funny that you posted this, because only a few hours ago I posted another gem from the mid '90s by Nada Surf. To me it seemed like there was a LOT of good music then, but that's probably due to the fact that I loved most of the grunge music from that time.
Trivia: For years I had no freakin' clue why this song was called "Possum Kingdom", until I finally looked it up on Wikipedia. Go on, click that link. You know you want to.

News You Already Knew - High Heels are Bad For You! (Femme Talk Post)
I quit wearing them too. I have one pair with 2 inches, but I HATE them. Back in my school days the dress code was well...dresses, so I wore 3 inches every day. Then once I went to secular University.. I happily took a grunge vacation.. (very early 90s)
So when I took a job where I had to dress professionally, it was murder wearing heels again. I opted for sensible shoes from then on out.
I'll only wear heels if it's dressy and it's going to be less than 3 hours of wearing them.
Ten Biggest Douchebags of 2007
Or if the talking head is particularly galling with the condescension thinly veiled as feigned boredom coupled with a cappuccino-grunge hair and black t-shirt under a suit jacket (the modern version of a mullet) it gets the eia.
Nirvana's Teen Spirit cover - by Paul Anka?!
Benny Goodman = Elvis = The Beatles = Led Zepplin = Michael Jackson = Public Enemy = Nirvana = Radiohead = ????.............
woooooooaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhh there horsey.. what!?
fans of each of these can adjust these comments because i'm not well versed in all but a few...
Benny Goodman, no idea - no comment
Elvis - more or less a crooner with elements of rock?
Beatles - guitar pop? and occasionally experimental
Led Zep - rock, experimental
Jackson - pop with attitude?
Public Enemey - who?
Nirvana - angsty grunge rock?
Radiohead - rock followed by completely experimental mixing styles and such
i don't want to get into some really really detailed shit here, because i'm not qualified for it... but surely calling those the same is a bit like saying all cars are exactly the same?
especially when you go directly from led zep to michael jackson.... double especially when you name pop and experimental stuff in the same sentence
i think that's mental
now go ahead and say "but they all follow the same chord progression timbre resonance factor!"... fair enough, but again that's like saying "every element in the periodic table is exactly the same because they are all made up of protons, neutrons and electrons" (do not start with me about string theory or quarks plz) - they have to be made up of the same things, just like a c sharp is the same as a b flat because they're both made up of compressions of air, and the only difference is how fast the compression occurs..
now if that's what you're saying - fair enough, you're right, but you need to get out more
otherwise please don't say they sound the same.. i'm not clinging to my generation, saying one is better than the other, more unique than the other... especially because i'm a fan of pink floyd and i'm far out of their generation.. but ....... dayum
Perceptive Pixel Human-Machine Interface
Meh, all flash and techie-wow. Is doing cut and paste with your finger instead of a mouse, or zooming with several fingers instead of a mousewheel, really 'revolutionary'? Oh ya the screen is real big. So... what.
And at the typical workplace after a few days of people pushing their greasy fingers over the surface it'll be all grunged up and smell like tacos. Yuck.
Shinedown - "Save Me" (live, in studio)
The 90's called, they want their quintessential alternative/grunge rock voice back.
