Is the labor market finally starting to soften?

😂 even Murdoch publications like Wall Street Journal call the US economy “the envy of the world expected to keep powering higher” and the IMF reports the US economy is growing at double the rate of G7 nation averages, violent crime and murders are down by double digits, unemployment is down by double digits.
Going back to where Trump left off, 2020, returns us to the worst year in living history with the highest violent crime and murder rates and worst economy and biggest deficit ever from the greatest recovery in US history or the world.

Don took a boom and created a recession/depression. Biden took a recession and created a major boom. Maga is a clown show that keeps pretending they’re not the ones throwing pies.

You are incapable of accepting reality because of your cult status that demands you take Don Poorleon’s dishonest self serving word over any obvious indisputable fact.

I guess the business insider version is edited to be mildly interesting in a muted facebook stream.

Does anyone know the original video these clips were pilfered from? You know, the one that actually talks and give us the real info behind the film clips.
I hate these types of filtered videos.

But this Trump [abuse] dates [back] decades - [and] what makes this truly bad is that beauty pageant, family, and business inside[r]s all knew about this and kept quiet. What's even worse is he didn't keep quiet, and instead bragged for decades about abusing his position to abuse women, including repeatedly and intentionally barging in on naked under age girls to ogle them, and instead of being shunned he is now president.

@JustSaying

Trump talked about grabbing pussy--- Weinstein did grab pussy.. Some 35-- 45 have mentions some sort of improper act.

The Gloria Allred comes out with 12 alleged victims during the finals days of a political race is quite suspect.. To make things worse is that Gloria Allred is a Democrat delegate... Quite ODD.

Also what became of those 12? 1 week of news cycles and poof the mythical story is no more.

But this Weinstein dates decades -- But what makes the truly bad is that Hollywood insides knew about this and kept quiet.

Debunking MSG myth

draak13 says...

Understanding why so much anecdotal evidence exists is certainly worthwhile! The following link cites many studies on double blind tests for MSG sensitivity.

http://www.businessinsider.com/msg-allergy-doesnt-exist-2013-8

Glutamatic acid (which is what MSG turns into after solubilizing in water, along with a sodium ion) is one of the 20 amino acids that is the basis for all proteins and life, since the beginning of life on earth. It is in relatively high concentration in every cell of your body. Consuming MSG would be akin to consuming 'protein' in your diet, and is commonly labeled as protein in food labeling: http://www.truthinlabeling.org/hiddensources.html

Consuming too much protein in your diet can cause problems, but you need to be eating it to a relatively obvious excess (a gallon of milk per day). Weightlifters who protein supplement far too much quickly experience heart problems.

The business insider link suggests that there are some people who could potentially be sensitive to Glutamate, and be activating the vagus nerve in the stomach...though it seems to be speculative in that article.

The idea that another ingredient is causing the problem is far more likely. Americanized chinese restaurants all taste the same, because all of their food comes from the same place. A group in China has monopolized the american chinese restaurant market, and provides food and resources at unbeatably low prices. To remain competitive, almost all american chinese restaurants invariably purchase from this group. Given China's track record of putting all kinds of crazy stuff in their produce, it seems entirely likely that some ingredient other than MSG is a much more likely culprit.

I know a couple of people in particular who have reacted extremely badly to chinese restaurants in america, and even went to the emergency room for it. Given the details of their story (a mystery glob of black sauce that they ate from the black sauce egg tray), I could only imagine what kind of horrible things they could have ingested other than MSG. 'Chinese restaurant syndrome' may indeed be a relatively accurate term for what people are experiencing.

Chef Ramsay versus/vs. Douchebag Cook

enoch says...

this is not my favorite show with ramsay.
its hyped and over-edited.

that being said.ramsay is spot on with his criticisms.
he knows his business inside and out and when he points something out dont get all defensive.
he is not saying those things to hurt your feelings but rather point out the things that need improvement.

Shipping Container Home for $4K-single mom makes it happen

bobknight33 says...

Get yours cargo container while you can. The collapse of America will start in 2013.
From Business Insider:
A) The Bush tax cuts on those making more than $200k will expire.
B) The Bush tax cuts on those making less than $200k will also expire.
C) The Patch on AMT will expire.
D) The 2% payroll tax holiday will expire for all workers on 12/31/12 (I’m sure the current holiday will be rolled for another year)
E) The 99-week extended unemployment benefits die on 12/31. (The emergency benefits will also be extended for 2012)

F) There will have to be a budget that is approved. Alternatively, a series of continuing resolutions is required to avert a government shutdown. We have not had an approved budget in over 900 days.

G) 2013 is the first year that there will be mandatory caps on discretionary spending. These limits will result in a YoY decline in government spending.

H) The Federal Reserve has promised to keep interest rates at zero into 2013. While it is possible that the Fed could continue the madness for even longer, the reality is that interest rates have nowhere to go but up.

I) By January 2013 it will be painfully evident that the country’s key social programs, Social Security and Medicare will be running in the red at a pace that is far higher than anyone considered possible. The need for dramatic changes in these programs will have to come onto the table. The implications of this will be significant.

J) In 2013 the issues of Fannie, Freddie, FHA and the Federal Home Loan Banks must be addressed. The problems at the housing agencies has festered too long.

K) The country will face another debt ceiling extension. The last time cost us our AAA.

L) At some point in 2012 economic events (Probably Europe) will force the Fed into yet another round of QE. More LSAP and another increase in the Fed’s balance sheet. But when completed the Fed will have fired it’s last bullet. QE-3 will not achieve any better results than QE-1 or 2. The policy will be discredited as it achieves nothing positive and causes inflation. There are no credible options left for the Fed to fight the slowdown that HAS to occur when the effects of A – K are felt.

America looks like Mexico of the 70’s – 90’s. The last election cycle brought us the biggest economic crisis in 70 years. The next election will be no different. Dozens of landmines have been planted. They are timed to go off in 2013. Some may be fixed, others kicked further down the road. However the odds of the country addressing all of the things that have been programmed to explode is, in my opinion, close to zero. One or more of these things is going to trip us up. There are too many big issues to confront.

Peaceful Protest in Spain meets non peaceful Police

marbles says...

Business Insider:
Police in Barcelona have attacked protesters that have been camped out since May 15 in the city's Plaza Catalunya. The protesters originally were trying to apply pressure to the public to not vote in last weekend's local Spanish elections. Those elections resulted in sharp losses for the country's Socialist Party government.

Protesters have remained in squares across Spain since the election, demanding government reforms and renewed attention to the country's unemployment crisis.

The forceful move against the protesters today in Barcelona was staged to clear the square out ahead of FC Barcelona's Champions League final match against Manchester United tomorrow evening. But to many, it may just appear the beginning of a government crackdown on the country's protesters.
