@blankfist, I think most people who use "liberal" and "conservative" in a political context in conversational speech expect people to generally understand what they mean. However, you can't seem to restrain yourself from always wanting to get into some sort of strange etymological battle about what you think "liberal" should imply.

It's funny that you're acting like I want the sidebars. You essentially demand them of anyone who says "liberal" and doesn't use your preferred, archaic definition (which, incidentally, no one does). I don't want you to annotate your comments, I'm just saying you shouldn't try to force other people to do so, and that your efforts to impose that on people doesn't score you or your ideology any kind of political points.

As to your schadenfreude about Air America dying, it's hard to imagine this is some principled stand against political radio -- I doubt you'd have made a peep if some 2nd string conservative radio talker got the plug pulled, or even if Rush Limbaugh or Glenn Beck or Bill O'Reilly got canned.

IMO, Air America was doomed to failure because it didn't even try to be a left wing version of right wing radio; it was mostly populated with reasonable people making reasonable (and often obvious) commentary on the politics of the moment. It was, to me, utterly boring, and I'm almost certainly the target audience for them.

I should have mentioned that it's a good idea to turn on annotations on this one. Then it's possible to read the dialogue boxes. I have modified the video description. The video doesn't belong in terrible just because the video quality is bad. The terrible channel is for videos with terrible things happening in them.

What happened to this video? The original one I saw had real audio, rather than this horrible music. It also let you hear all the players at the end saying "wow!" "no way!" and one person saying "THATS BULLSHIT!". It was my favorite part.


It looks like the original owner of the video on YouTube sold out a little bit and added crappy music and some ads to his movie info (along with annotations and stuff). Fortunately there's an original version still up there, so I've changed the embed to that one so we can all enjoy the cry of "THAT'S BULLSHIT!" once again.

If it was spam, I would expect it to have one of those pop-up annotation links like many videos on YouTube.

What you don't realise is, that he has annotations on his video which say "The future of Irish rap", I can't name a single Irish rapper.

The fatal flaw in this plan is that your typical college student is unlikely to just sit down and read 'Origin of Species' unless it were assigned reading in a class, in which case they would most likely need a specific annotated edition of the book.
