Okay, I'm getting a bit annoyed that I can't go full screen without going to YouTube any more.

Emoji Shortcodes Now Available (Sift Talk Post)

ant says...

Is it me or is https://videosift.com/emojis showing its :flag... text letters and not actual graphics? Also, the emojis are too small there too. Please make them a little bigger like in the talks. I see them in both SeaMonkey v2.53.3 and Firefox v78 web browsers in my decade old, updated 64-bit W7 HPE SP1 PC.

@Mordhaus and @PlayhousePals what version of Chrome and OS are you running?
Have you tried submitting from incognito mode or Chrome's guest profile?
When you open Chrome's dev console, what errors/messages do you see there?

SSL Now Enforced Site-Wide (Sift Talk Post)

Ah. Late last night after 11 PM PST, VS was showing:

"Secure Connection Failed

I could reproduce this error in both of my computers (64-bit W7 HPE SP1 OS & 64-bit Linux/Debian Jessie/stable)'s SeaMonkey v2.46 web browsers. Also, Firefox v51 in my Debian box. I could not reproduce it in W7's IE11 & Debian's Chrome v50 web browsers that aren't based on Mozilla's Gecko engine.

I told Dag and Lucky760 about it, and it was fixed about 1.5 hours later. Kudos to the quick fixes!

At that moment, Firefox 51.0. But I've had some ciphers disabled since the early days of Logjam attacks, which included all ciphers using Diffie-Hellman without elliptic curves. That's why there was no overlap between accepted ciphers on my end and ciphers supplied by VS.

Ditto. 8.10 on my very old, updated Windows XP Pro SP3 machine! What do you use now on the newer OSes? I used Paint.net in 64-bit W7 @ work. It was OK.

We never thought a video would be watched in numbers greater than a 32-bit integer (=2,147,483,647 views), but that was before we met PSY. "Gangnam Style" has been viewed so many times we had to upgrade to a 64-bit integer (9,223,372,036,854,775,808)!

These computers will save the world.
Big claim...they are a big game changer though.
They have more conventional processing power than a traditional CPU with registers the size of the count of all atoms in the known universe.

i.e. 64 bit CPU...has 64 bit registers....

In-sane.

On this vid: http://videosift.com/video/Tree-climbing-pro-Nat-Geo-photog-gets-shot-of-a-lifetime when I clicked on the comments button, rather than scrolling down to the comments, Everything up to the bottom 20% or so of the video disappeared up under the mouse-over menus and I couldn't get it back, like the centre panel had scrolled under it, but wouldn't scroll back. I opened a duplicate window and tried again, and this the whole video was gone, leaving only the "From YT..." description on down visible under the mouse-over menus. I haven't been able to duplicate it again.

I'm using Chrome on Win7 64-bit.

The new site is a resource hog. Tonight was the first time I've visited VS in a few days. I did as I normally do and opened several videos in background tabs. When I tried to watch a video it was extremely choppy. I thought it was that one video so I went on to the next, but they were all doing it. I then noticed my CPU fan was louder than normal, so I opened up Process Explorer and see Firefox using up 25% CPU (which is 100% of one core) and the memory usage was counting up like a clock.

I restarted Firefox and opened one video, but the video is still choppy. I opened the video in YouTube, and it was choppy there as well until I closed the VideoSift tab. Once the VideoSift tab was closed, the video played smoothly.

Right now with only this talk page open CPU usage constant around 10% and spiking up to 25% and even typing is laggy. I'm on Win7 64-bit with Firefox 17, Intel Core i5 quad core and 12GB RAM.
