It is a great place, and as soon as I get something vaguely resembling an income, I'll kick in a ducat or two.

Fervid. That's right on. I like that .. I want to continue to be passionate about things. I just haven't found a way to dial back taking things too seriously or personally and still be myself, fervor and all. I get angry a lot and I don't like it. I know people spout off on the internet like it doesn't matter, but I'm not one of those people. I just need to chill a little bit. Or learn to let things go. Like a friend advised me here recently .. "sometimes you just need to tell them "this conversation is over" .. lol.

There's a rule I like to go by. That rule is: Never carry an argument or disagreement beyond a thread. This makes it difficult to hold an on-going grudge.

just say it all and let the sift sort it out. in sift we trust.

I also have a rule. Never leave your penis near rottenseed's mouth lest you want empty testicles. Oh and you certainly do not suck, burdy. I enjoy our spirited debates. I enjoy all debates on this site, even the ones where people downvote my comments for using the word "koolaid".

Just know, the debates that go on in here are scarcely personal. I mean, look at NetRunner and me. Never have you seen a more polarized viewpoint, but we're still cool and certainly there's respect there. Now stop being a big nerd and give papa blankfist a hug.

Not that I think you're an asshole, I just think you're on the edge a lot. But I do love how honest you are and how you wear your heart on your sleeve. There is something so endearing about that quality

Meds, although helpful in some ways, destroys the person inside... Never loose your passion or your opinions for without them you are merely a drone.

burd, don't be too hard on yourself. blankfist is right, it's best to try not to take this stuff personally. I also find it helps to start from the assumption that those who bother to open their mouths here have done some thinking about their positions, and if you take the time to give them a reasoned challenge to their assumptions, you can have a meaningful conversation. If that turns out to not be the case, it's usually best to just move on.

I don't always live by that advice, but I try to.

I'm late to this love fest, but speaking for myself..... your comments are good to have. Most people enjoy someone who really cares about what they are saying. I, for one, really respect that about you.
