godzilla 2014-all godzilla scenes

another disappointing addition to the godzilla mythos,but NOT due to godzilla!
the movie had so many flaws,here are just some in my opinion:
1.if you are going to make a godzilla movie but not reveal godzilla until the third act you MUST have a human story that people can connect and relate to.which we could not because-*spoilers
a.they kill off one of the most interesting characters bryan cranston and leave us with ineffectual and boring kick ass as the main protagonist.
b.ken watanabe is also under-utilized,relegated to a singular use for exposition,when he could have had such a larger and more nuanced role as the scientist.what we got didnt make a whole lot of sense and made his role almost useless.

but if you can sit through the majority of the movie,which is fairly boring,the last 20 minutes are pretty spectacular.one thing gareth edwards got right was godzilla himself.
godzilla being a force of nature.
a creature of raw power and destruction with humanity not even being noticed,just fleas picking at his thick surface.

so i will give gareth edwards a pass,if only because he got godzilla right.
