anyone notice he was only playing 4 strings?

There were moments where he fingered all ten strings (around the middle of the piece he played a double-stopped high-register melody with his left pinky while the rest of his left-hand fingers played bass), but on the whole he played tap-bass with his left hand and plucked the open-tuned high strings with his right hand.

Very impressive, and - rare for this kind of clip - musically appealing.
