E3 this year for consoles was shit.. utter shit. Each of the 'big 3' had reveals that no actual gamer gives a shit about. Again.. absolute shit.

PC gaming was pretty solid however, and that is nice to see for a change.

I think there are quite a few 'actual gamers' who give a shit about Zelda, Kid Icarus, etc. In fact I'd say only people who have given a shit about video games for a very long time even know who Kid Icarus is or why he needs a new game.

I agree though that the pc's showing was awesome. Absolutely can't wait for Rage or Crysis 2! As for the other consoles.... at least they have Mortal Kombat 9. Better than nothing.

You know I have to quality this when I have a point just because of the metroid "breasts suit".

When the Wii came out I thought it was utter crap... look at me! I'm a console that has ordinary graphics and a shit house controller system...
When my Wife convinced me to buy her a Wii with my work Bonus I hated it even more...
When my wife started using Wii Fit in her underwear I instantly liked the Wii... My pet cat must have sensed my enjoyment of this and chewed through the sensor bar cable.

I guess my point is movement based games are annoying unless you are watching chicks in there underwear use them.

I meant rather the big three console conferences, not individual games themselves. And yes we really don't need another zelda every six months do we? Now Kid Icarus sounds interesting but knowing these companies anymore it will be shit compared to the original. But who knows.

I was glad to see Fable III and even more glad to see it was coming to PC this time. I know it's popular to bitch about PM, but I loved Fable and was displeased I couldn't play Fable II.

Yea Fable III looks interesting, though if it will have any continuity they should release Fable II to PC first. The first game was decent, fun enough to complete once on my end hehe.

Rage (shown on PC), Portal 2, Crysis 2 (show on PC but they lied and said it was xbox until a crash proved otherwise), Civ V, Deus Ex, The Old Republic, Witcher 2, Brink, Shogun II, Fable III among others. Mind few of these are PC exclusives but they were shown/demod on a PC or have clear PC leanings (or in the case of Fable, were announced for PC when the last one completely avoided it hehe).

Yeah, I suppose it's hard to define what a PC game is anymore. Did think Deus Ex looked very promising, and Brink has always looked good, so I hope they manage to release it eventually. Games of show were Portal 2 and Deus Ex in my opinion. It's a shame they didn't do a public showing of the Deus Ex demo.

@Beefpile I hate to say it, but Kid Icarus for the NES was the height of gaming, and everything's been downhill since.

Maybe I'm too easily suckered by gimicks, but I'm looking forward to the 3DS. I think I enjoyed the DS more than any hand-held to date. It just had lots of great games, versatile controls, and critically the system and games cost about 30% less than their competitor. The same thing, only with a bigger screen, higher resolution, better processor, analog stick, accelerometer and gyroscope would have been enough to get my pre-order. But the glassesless 3D really does sound sort of cool. I've been wanting that ever since that bit in Back To The Future 2 were the holographic shark eats Michael J. Fox. I'm pretty sure it will be just like that.

All of other games I'm looking forward to are due to the developer track record, The Old Republic(Bioware), Portal 2(Valve) and Warhammer 40k: Space Marine(Relic). Though with that last one I seem to be alone.
