World's Greatest Super Friends

Here is the opening and closing credits of the series.

In 1979 Hanna-Barbera changed direction and featured stronger tones in the continuing Super Friends series starring Batman and Robin, Superman, Wonder Woman and Aquaman, and The Wonder-Twins and Gleek. Now popular themes including renditions of Arabian Knights, Medieval warriors, Parallel universes and even the Wizard of Oz paved the way for richer stories.

Here the World's Greatest Super Heroes band together to fight the forces of evil. The only drawback to this series is that the stories were heavily centred on Superman. Some of the other Super Friends suddenly had unexplained power loss (or lack of the writer writing creatively and accurately). For the first time not all the core Super Friends appeared in every episode.

Never-the-less this series had interesting concepts despite some misconceptions which influenced new ways of telling animated stories that influenced the success of the later Batman Animated Series, X-Men and Justice League
