Why Soldiers Seem to Fire when They Can't See Their Enemy

(youtube) On more than one occasion, I've seen people asking why soldiers, now, during Vietnam, or earlier, seem to fire when they can't see their enemy, hopefully, this explains why. It's said that Bomber Pilots almost never see the people they kill - Riflemen rarely see the people they kill - Snipers and Marksmen almost always see the people they kill - Most riflemen kills are caused by stray bullets.
