"sort of tricking, fooling it into doing you what you want." - PICNIC.

Any damn fool that can't operate one or the other should probably not be trusted to spend the money required to buy one. Or be let anywhere near the electrical outlets the machine plugs into.

Being that I use a PC at work and home every day of my life, I do find it a tad tricky when I come across a Mac, but I think I can juts boil that down to me being unfamiliar with the equipment. I suppose it is all just preference like everything else in life.

Sounds like this guy needs a more powerful computer for the kind of stuff he's trying to do. Those Imacs just weren't built for ram intensive work like video editing.

My MacBook Pro works like a charm.

The only thing I agree with is the bit about dragging things to the desktop (or to a burn folder FTM). Apple needs to fix that.

My flatmate has a mac laptop. He bought it around 4 years ago, and i kid you not, it craps itself every six months or so. The mac repair staff always claim its the logic board overheating...
The macs i used for film editing at Uni also would lock up every time i tried to save some new editing.
My frieds macs battery crapped itself by creating a bubble shaped bulge on its battery. That laptop too overheated said the repair staff...
Now, its true that pcs do tend to have more software issues... but the fact that so many mac computers seem to have their hardware screw up so much....
It takes an hour to reload windows onto a pc....
takes two weeks to repair a logic board...

This guy's just ignorant...I've used an AVID system, and I've worked with every Mac ever introduced.

They are fast...and they DON'T crash. My Windows laptop spontaneously combusts every time it has a "driver incompatibility," and shuts down the whole computer and I lose EVERYTHING!

My $1199 iMac 20" computer has more power than my boyfriend's top of the line Dell (he was a programmer at Dell). I've even switched it over and run Call of Duty natively in Windows XP with Bootcamp...it ran circles around his computer, and oh-by-the-way I didn't have to install some over-priced video card to get it to work.

Loser boy!! You just hate Macs because Macs make people happy.

Go home to your little Vista machine and just be obnoxious.
