My best friend and I always do this kinda thing. Take something that is mostly lame and insignificant and bolster it to the level of shier ridiculousness. Im upvoting on the off chance that this is real

My vote is that this is very much staged - though still funny. The tell-tales are there:

1. His competitor neatly sidesteps out of camera range as the dance begins.
2. The zoom in to the score card is professional and too perfectly timed from a comedic standpoint

I have to disagree.. the guy stepped out of frame to get the ball.. and never came back because the winner was dancing like a fool. The audience is laughing and covering their faces.. and and judge obviously disapproves.. I vote real.

The look on the red guy's face after he allowed the point was genuine. I bet they're really good friends, and the dancer never wins any points off him. And the camera operator was thinking about all the essential elements of a good story and knew to include the score. Or maybe this guy does that a lot, and the camera operator was ready.

I'm with dag on this one... I'm sure we'll be told soon enough the background to this.

^FTR, I called "staged" not fake. As in, this was not a spontaneous, impomptu happening - it was scripted and rehearsed by those involved.

^who are you counting as "those involved"??? i count one guy, and possibly the cameraman. and it totally could have been spontaneous.
