Untethered Micro Robot Does the Hokie Pokie

The Donald Lab at Duke University shows off their micro robot (or MEMS) which dances around without a tether. Measuring only 60 µm by 250 µm by 10 µm, this robot is 1 to 2 orders of magnitude smaller than previous micro-robotic systems. The robot is controllable and receives power through the surface it travels on (think upside down bumper cars). Donald Lab

"Put your Uni-leg in, put your Uni-leg out, put your Uni-leg in, and shake it all about, you do the hokie pokie and turn your self around, that's what it's all about!"

Hella cool!!
