Transformers 3 = The Island ?

Well, one way or another Michael Bay will get us to see The Island. It looks like he thought so highly of that movie he just had to reuse some of the material for Transformers 3.

The Island was pretty good. Some of the chases were missing large chunks (cut from one location to another) as if we weren't supposed to notice. Good otherwise though.

The Island started off really well actually.

But then when it became a chase/action movie with Bay's fricken man love for chases on freeways with cars turning over (doesn't seem to have abated) it became dross.

A pity, because it really did start off with a nice tone and interesting story.

He could have had a winner on his hands with that one

And this? Well, it's kinda lazy, but it's hardly unique. Other directors have used bits of footage from other places in subsequent movies.

Although usually it's using footage that wasn't actually USED in the movie it was shot for, so I guess in that respect it's kinda interesting.
