Toyota Prius to come with "Noisemaker" in 2012

So the idea is that hybrids are totally quiet at slower speeds and can cause distracted idiots not to notice them. Toyota's solution? Put a fucking noise-making thing in it. Such fail.

Still, consider that owners will probably not take too long to find the wire that makes it go and cut it, or the better option as pointed out in the Priuschat.com: hack the noise and make it something else. The guy writing the article suggested a galloping horse. I want the Jetson's flying car noise...

LOL: that didn't take long, from the comments on priuschat, already they have a video with "alternate" sounds including the Jetsons!
