Are dogs allowed to eat candy? Or was it Chocolate

Chocolate can be toxic to dogs. Regular candy isn't (sugarfree/xylitol is also a no-no), just bad for the teeth if they eat a lot But this was just a few pieces.

I've never tried dog food but I imagine it would be fine. I've accidentally tried a few bits of cat food (someone left a bowl of it next to the cookie jar) and that tastes like battery acid. This is because cats can't taste sweet.

Why wouldn't he use his hands?

Isn't that the advantage humans have over dogs? Seems only fair that a real test of dog versus man would have each particpant playing to their strengths. Would you have a tool using contest where the human can't use his thumbs or a ball licking contest where the dog can't lift his leg?
