The Tower of Joy

This is a passage from the audio book version of Game of Thrones read by Roy Dotrice.

After Ned Stark was injured by Lannister soldiers he succumbed to a fever and dreamt of the day he rescued his sister Lyanna Stark.

After traveling countless miles, he finally reaches her only to have his path blocked by three of the most famous fighters in all of Westeros, and the last members of the Targaryen Kingsguard adorned in their white cloaks. So swords clash, blood is spilled, and a promise is made; all at the Tower of Joy.

It's a really well written passage. I always loved how Ned couldn't remember the faces of his long dead friends, but couldn't forget the faces of the men he had to fight that day. A nice touch.

This scene is brilliant, I hope it might still be filmed for a flashback in a later season.
Especially if certain fan theories turn out to be true.
