The Tourist: Timelapse DSLR video by ex ILM employee

From the video: "Your basic teleportation film, originally inspired by the dream sequence in Buster Keaton's "Sherlock Jr." Filmed with a Digital SLR and an intervalometer."

This is by David Berry, who worked on Star Wars as part of the ILM team lo those many moons ago.

fun
i like it, but not impressive for someone who's supposedly worked at ILM
it's nice that he didn't use CG at all, but tons of minus points for marking the middle spot and always returning to it
with a little extra work he could have made it fly fine from any spot without markers
but i think the way he made it, it wasn't planned with a linear script, but rather film it like a stream of consciousness and then create the narrative at editing

from a narrative standpoint i REALLY wish he would have left out the intro bit
it pretty much ruins the idea and flow of the film from get go
good fun from the start of the film though

^ Maybe that's why he's an EX employee.

Yeah there's always something at his feet to show him where he should be standing. That's rather annoying. It could have been done a lot better with more interesting compositions, dynamic angles, etc.
