"The Story of Petroleum" (ca. 1923,7) was created by the U.S. Bureau of Mines in collaboration with Sinclair Oil Company as a promotional film to highlight the operations of the U.S. oil industry. The film shows the exploration, extraction, processing, and preparation of crude oil for its distribution throughout the United States. B/W, Silent. New score by Jonny Greenwood.
