I wonder if cyberbalkanization affects the Sift to the point where it is easy to push members such as @shinyblurry, @quantumushroom, and others like that to the fringes.

VS has been on the road to an echo chamber for the last year or two. I am disappoint.

I think shiny and QM represent the fringes (relatively speaking) on this site, but they've obviously got thick skin. The real problem is that we've lost some of the middle-ground that tied the two extremes together.
