^ If they both go over - they both lose. She did the right thing, because she knew he was going to go over. If she was feeling really ballsy she could have bid a legitimate bid and tried to get within $100 and win both showcases.

Maybe he had a financially tight upbringing, where he wouldn't have any exposure to these luxuries or their costs. Maybe he is genuinely unconcerned with keeping up with the Joneses and went to the show with friends. I for one find his lack of materialistic indoctrination refreshing!

Personally, if I was running the show, I would've given Bob Barker a card announcing the first prize package was worth 60,000 exactly, just to screw with the entire audience
