The Last Stand - Trailer - Arnie is back!!!

"Action icon Arnold Schwarzenegger makes his much-anticipated return to the big screen in Korean director Kim Jee-woon's hard-hitting US directorial debut, THE LAST STAND. After leaving his LAPD narcotics post following a bungled operation that left him wracked with remorse and regret, Sheriff Ray Owens (Schwarzenegger) moved out of Los Angeles and settled into a life fighting what little crime takes place in sleepy border town Sommerton Junction. But that peaceful existence is shattered when Gabriel Cortez (Eduardo Noriega), the most notorious, wanted drug kingpin in the western hemisphere, makes a deadly yet spectacular escape from an FBI prisoner convoy. With the help of a fierce band of lawless mercenaries led by the icy Burrell (Peter Stormare), Cortez begins racing towards the US-Mexico border at 250 mph in a specially-outfitted Corvette ZR1 with a hostage in tow." - YouTube

My parents watched Bela Legusi do it. They watched Marlon Brando do it. They saw Paul Newman and Robert Redford do it.

I saw Harrison Ford do it, as well as Clint Eastwood, Sean Connery and countless others, but there’s something that shakes me about seeing Arnold Schwarzenegger enter the era of his senior-career.

The fact aside that the concept of age and mortality will not stop fucking with me the older I get, I am super stoked he's making films again.

really? I'm in the "wow, that's pathetic that they don't know when to quit while they're ahead" camp

You and me both. With the debatable exception of Terminator 3 (which was ok) Arnie hadn't made a decent movie in years before he left to be the governator.

As I said, debatable. Compared to sixth day, Junior, eraser and whatever other crap he put out around then, T3 is citizen bloody Kane.

That said, I wasn't that keen either. Even more reason for Arbus to stick to governating

It's funny. I agree with every comment on here - he's too old, but he's too good, but he made a bunch of crap films towards the end anyway... all true.

But i just love him. He's like a dad to me; the dad that my dad calls when i get kidnapped and held by 100 terrorists.

It's an "old sheriff" action movie, it could star any old reasonably-tough-looking guy, so I don't really care that it's starring Ah'nold.

I care that it's directed by Kim Jee-woon, though.

Gotta go with Deathcow. Sorry, but there's all sorts of senior citizen in this.

And before you downvote this comment, please pause at *any* Arnie facial close-up. The movie might be superb when it's released, but this trailer's scenes really needed some work before they hit the internet.

I'm still cringing from viewing the last Indiana Jones film.

Paybacksays...

Bad Guys: Chevy Corvette, Cadillac Escalade
Good Guys: Chevy Camaro, Chevy Suburban or GMC Tahoe
Evacuating the Good Townsfolk: GMC TopKick schoolbuses.

Ineffective Pawns: Ford Crown Victoria

I wonder who paid for the cars?
